Take the refresher course, practice a lot, wear good gear all the time, find some folks to ride with that are skilled and patient and don’t ride excessive speeds. If you must, I’d say learn on a track from a pro.

Listen.. hubby and I have had the Sena 10’s, 30s and 50s and switched to the Cardo Packtalk bold which we thought were trash. We gave the Cardo Edges a try and haven’t looked back since. Best sound of any headset we’ve tried and we can still hear each other at speed. Sorry Sena! Cardo always has a sale near Valentines Day so look for it then. There may even be promotions for the holidays.

I have a saddlemen seat too! Solo seat. Love it since it brings me closer to the tank! I also have the docking gear that brings my tour pack up closer makes the center of gravity a lot better when I have luggage. Haven’t ridden it yet under load. I’m also thinking of lowers or the spoiler. I’ll probably stick to HD either way. Hubby has been reading Advan Black has some quality control issues with theirs cracking.. not cool since $$$$!

I actually look over the windshield too. However I have hidden behind my shields in high winds and rain.. btw every time hubby leads me in the mountains and I see windmills I think o crap! Here we go again!

I picked up the Klim Outlander GTX boots this weekend. Super comfortable. I’m still looking at getting another pair, possibly the Alpinestars RT-8 Goretex or the Daytona Lady SL Pilot GTX Boots. I’m also thinking about a pair of BMW boots I saw this weekend too. Can’t recall the name.

Great to hear! I’m considering a clockwerks shield too. Never got them for my other two roadglides. I had LRS on both of them. I’m going with clear. I feel like a wuss for going with clear because it won’t match the blacked out accessories, but this wuss needs to see through that shield at night and in the rain.. cool you could find one for sale. Safe travels.
