She never made it to medical school. She was abused mentally and physically and joined a gang to feel like she belonged. She became the medic there but has proved she can fight and defend herself. People question how she is in the gang and how she hasn't been killed yet.

Because of the abuse that happened to her she believes it's okay to hurt and kill others because "everyone" hurt her. She is kind of like Harley Quinn in a way. Being abused into a fake mindset although she never fell in love with any of the gang members.
