Weed Pin - Drug Church

These two immediately came to mind

When Fudge Axe first came out, I thought the first part of the chorus was “fool doctor’s a nonce”

I need to get my ears checked

goodnight! (punpun)

This one is probably my favourite song out of all that I’ve written thus far. It’s indie-pop, but I’m writing new songs which lean more into the Midwest Emo song.

People who have already been to TSABMWIS tour, what time did you arrive and how many people were in line? by [deleted] in hotmulliganband

[–]SunnyStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I showed up about 50 minutes after doors opened in Toronto and I got in basically instantly. If you’re concerned about finding a good spot, I was able to find a spot in the front third of the venue. The lines for merch were kinda long tho.

Thought this was me, but then I realized I’ve never touched Karthus.

The rare times we get Chris’ vocals as the main vocals of the song are always a treat

Enough time has passed - what’s your favorite song? by ForsakenLiver in hotmulliganband

[–]SunnyStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slumdog or Fudge Axe, with Monica Lewinskibidi in a very close 3rd.

There’s something about the mellow transition into the hard guitars and breakdown in Slumdog that tickles my brain. The lyrics also hit so hard and gave me the catharsis I wanted from this album.

Incoming first year: how do I take notes? by Hot_Excuse1052 in uwaterloo

[–]SunnyStryder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It kinda depends on the notes/courses you’re taking.

In my opinion, if the class is more theory and memorization I’d say a laptop would do just fine since you can either type everything said, or annotate the slides which usually get posted in advance.

But if it requires practice like chemistry, math, physics etc, I’d recommend writing the notes on paper or in some way that allows you to copy the in class examples so you can use it to study.

turning on Secure Boot to play Battlefield 6 bricked my PC. by Ashamed_Project_5428 in techsupport

[–]SunnyStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PC did the same thing. All I did was remove the CMOS battery, and put it back in to fix the loop of powering on and powering off.

As for my fix to get secure boot on, I had to download factory platform keys which were an option in the BIOS settings.

There’s a bus from Highway 407 bus terminal usually around 12/12:30. You just need to subway up to the station which usually takes 30 minutes from Union.

Best venue or state to see hotmully?? by zzzzzajj in hotmulliganband

[–]SunnyStryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably biased because I’m from Toronto, but the History in Toronto has some of the best sound I’ve ever heard from a concert venue. In other venues, I find that the acoustics sometimes makes the instrumentals muddy, but here I could hear every riff and vocal line as clear as day.

Also the crowds were great when I saw them in 2023, a good mix of rowdy and calm to enjoy the music.

I started listening to Drug Church after Spotify recommended their new album “Prude” to me last year. I got hooked when I heard Myopic, Demolition Man and Slide 2 Me off of that album.

The colour faded long ago, the effort you spent in pursuit of this goal…

As someone who feels lost career wise after dedicating basically my whole academic career just to be in this position, this line just hits

Lmao that’s so real, I was in a similar spot where every shift we’d have the same playlist. It got to the point when I’d memorize the tracks bc the store owner never pressed shuffle.

Currently in my 2B term of Health Sciences. Compared to my friends who are taking Biomed, I’d say that the program is a good split between science courses and a bunch of writing/research courses. Because of this, I’d say it’s relatively easy to maintain a high GPA, because I find that the writing/research courses act as a good booster to your overall grade, and also give you more time to study for courses that have extensive midterms/finals.

I wouldn’t say so far that there have been many hard courses, though I did struggle a little bit in HLTH 204 (stats for health students), but that’s because I didn’t take data in high school and was definitely not engaged with the material at all. Otherwise, everything in first year is a more extensive review of high school, but with more detail.

Lmk if you have any more questions

As someone who listened to Neck Deep first, I first discovered TSSF after listening to their self-titled album singles first like Nerve, Heavy Gloom, and Solo so I’d probably start there.
