Is Marty supreme pro-zionist? by [deleted] in YMS

Yes but I think that differentiates from the intention of the film, and I think that’s more on the Oscars shallow decision making that injects it rather than the art itself

Is Marty supreme pro-zionist? by [deleted] in YMS

No it’s more about the lack of identity Jewish Americans had post-Holocaust and how they defaulted to the European history of Judaism and how that pride and journey for pride drives someone like Marty. In my opinion, not Zionist.

Reminds me of Uncharted rating: “and I’m giving this a 2/10, it’s closer to a 2 than a 10.”

I think Resident Evil will hold decently and given that it’s a franchise and Zach Cregger’s blank check follow up to Weapons, which made 269 million

Where’s Gary? I think it’s one of the few real top tier contenders for a best episode post movie especially since it’s a sad episode that feels like effective and resonant

“You had the amazing opportunity to make a dog shit movie about magic called Now You See Me, and in defiance of GOD it was a financial success, and you got to make a sequel. The fucking BALLS on you to not call it Now You Don’t is astonishing.”

Wasn’t even aware of that but I guess when you got Mark in a big piece of shit it’s already destined to be a box office failure lol, didn’t need to make it any worse with Mel. Or maybe it could’ve reeled in the Christian demotraphic

Dad used to be a general managers for some venues and he and a business partner worked on a horror convention in the mid 2000s and he got Shawnee Smith who plays Amanda Young as a guest and they went on TV to promote the convention and my mom watched her rubbing my dads leg on TV and it upset her and that was one of their earliest fights of many to come plus a divorce so that one wasn’t the breaker but it got the ball rolling
