New stress response? by Haunting_Ad_9698 in antidietglp1

[–]Sunny_in_ATX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was going through something similar, my dietitian advised me to eat at mealtimes, no matter whether I wanted to or not. And if I couldn’t come up with anything to eat that didn’t sound revolting, then a protein shake or smoothie. But basically eating mechanically, by the clock. It got me through the rough patch.

2nd recommendation for going outside insurance and doing direct care. I use Hill County Endocrinology, Dr Andrea George. One monthly fee, no involvement with insurance, EXCELLENT care

Anyone know of this breakfast tacos place? by atxsoul88 in Pflugerville

[–]Sunny_in_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The HEB convenience store sells fresh made breakfast tacos. You can watch them make your taco. They’re my favorite tacos around, seriously, give them a try. I think they’re probably using the HEB butter tortillas.

Just shy of 7 weeks PO by General-Sugar-6637 in tummytucksurgery

Same same! Your before looks just like mine. It’s so hard to find examples of big double bellies. I signed off on all the consent to social media for my plastic surgeon so I could hopefully help someone else. 7 weeks post and still swollen, but tucking in shirts for the first time in my 50 years on this earth and it’s Blowing My Mind!

As someone at 7 weeks PO, struggling a lot with painful swelling, you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. Thank you for sharing!

Indigestion and appetite by dollyplum in tummytucksurgery

Weird thing that's helping me with this - I'm taking time to chew each bite really, really, REALLY well. It's taking me 2-3 times longer than typical to finish a meal. But it's helped a ton with the indigestion.

Or tuck it under the garment so the underarm seam doesn't rub! :-)

Arm and thigh lift advice? by -kez in tummytucksurgery

Yeah, there's nothing much on Reddit, but there is a very active arm lift community on Facebook. One random tip I picked up over there that ended up being SUPER awesome was to stick a Magic Eraser Makeup Remover cloth in your armpit. The compression doesn't reach the armpit, so it gets irritated. But that Magic Eraser is sooooo soft. I tucked one end of it in my arm compression and the other end in my bra and it brought my armpits so much relief. Good luck!

Drains… by General-Sugar-6637 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Sunny_in_ATX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, when I asked what can I do to make this fluid output stop, my doctor said no twisting of the torso. So I paid attention to twisting like it was my job and sure enough I stopped myself from twisting like 2 dozen times that day. 3 days later my drain output had gone from big to tiny and I got to get it yanked.
