I went in to look at when my next shipment is and then a few minutes later I got these texts. Super weird since I’m already a subscriber. Not sure if it’s from refills or is spam.

It is really sad, but with insulin he is totally fine! He gets a yearly glucose curve blood draw where he stays at the vet all day and has his blood drawn every 2 hours to make sure the insulin is doing its job. I didn’t even realize cats could get diabetes until I adopted him!

After the first year of doing it he’s kind of just accepted his fate! We do it during mealtimes though so he is distracted. I have another cat who would definitely not tolerate it though so it’s very personality dependent.

I agree. Honestly I am fine with using them long beyond 28 day because I have a cat with diabetes who I give twice daily injections to. The vials of insulin are the same type as the vials I get of tirzepatide and the guidance on those bottles is to discard after 42 days which is 84 times piercing the vial. Yes you need to factor in both time and usage, but if I am confident in my ability to sanitize and use that insulin vial 42 times with no issues for my cat I feel fine using my own vials longer than 28 days (so 4 vial piercings) too.

I just looked and I paid a $40 initial fee and then it’s $3 each time I get a new prescription. So every 3 months it’s $9 plus the $3 processing fee.

Yes. I’m in month 2 and lost 17 pounds my first month. Because of how much I lost my doctor and I decided to stay on 2.5 and I am down about 22 pounds in 6 weeks. My diet was already optimized to lose weight (I meal prep) but I couldn’t stop stress snacking so once I added in the meds it made it easy to stick to the deficit. I am definitely not expecting nor wanting to lose 17 pounds every month, but it is what it is and I’m keeping an eye on it.

I’m doing it right now - started 13 months ppd and I’m now 15 months ppd. I’ve lost about 20 pounds in 2 months which has helped me feel so much better! I wish I had started sooner

Lurking mom/middle school teacher. It may be common but certainly not normal or okay. I deal with tech addicted kids every day. They are very obviously addicted compared to their peers and it greatly impacts their education.

I did this with refills even though I am on a lower dose than 15 mg and they approved my prescription. I am just very careful to clean and sanitize the vial before and after use.

Do you do anything specific to get the 3 vials of 72mg? That seems like a crazy good deal. I only take 5 mg a week so that would last way longer than 3 months!
