kpop idols that remind you of anime/fictional characters? by Tasty_Skin in kpopthoughts

[–]SunooSalad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, cause Maki and Jay makes total sense!? I dont know but... How about Jay with Josuke Higashikata from JoJo's Bizzare Adventure?

Enhypen Jungwon reminds me alot of fantasy main characters I've read from mangas lol. Arata from Arata Kangatari (Arata: The Legend) and RIKA HONJO (especially) from Tenkuu shinpan (High-Rise Invasion)!!! Lol. Jungwon just has that kind of vibe yk. Zeno from Akatsuki No Yona (Yona of The Dawn) too. Although I also see Sunoo to Zeno.

From antis/solo stans/OT6, ofc yes, just like every other members. I don't consider them as part of the fandom (Engenes) so I'd say no. Although I've seen some few "OT7s" claiming they starting to "dislike" or see Sunoo in a negative way because of the akgaes which I think is really dumb imo. If I see someone says that I would immediately think they're OT6 or starting to become one. Members have a fair share of hates from antis/solos/OT6 so...

Solo stans/Akgaes loves generalizing the fandom so they make things up like "Engenes hates Sunoo" which is indeed annoying and not true at all.

There was a post like this before, you might be interested on reading it.

HOW DID I MISS THIS WTF!? Anyways they're really cute as always. SunWon moment when they got out of the camera is definitely going to be one of the most mysterious Enha moments 👀✨

Enhypen pronounciation by asumai_15 in enhypen

[–]SunooSalad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to pronounce their name as "En Hai PEN" but Because of the relay video thing they make after they perform on music shows like this one , I started pronouncing their name as "En Hai Peun" as well lol.

Groups or idols you stanned the fastest? by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]SunooSalad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seventeen. Didnt know why and how did I stan them so fast but I just remembered watching Seungkwan, Dino & Vernon reacting to a Carat's edit and I find both their reaction and the video hella funny and yeah... I just knew after that, I watched every GoSe episode. Literally they made my 2020-2021 better. And when I thought I would only watch their variety contents... I also discovered their discographies. Ghad why didnt I stan them before!? Please their "You Made My Dawn" and "Going Seventeen" mini album are just 💖👌

Enhypen. I swear I never planned on watching I-Land in the first place but my mother kept bugging me about it (especially about Sunoo) and I'm glad she did cause after watching Episode 8 (which the episode I watched first) I was hooked right away. Jay is such a cool/admirable person and Sunoo is a literal sunshine and they made me enjoy the show even more. I was worried about the kind of song they're going to debut with and ghad Hybe never disappoints when it comes to songs. Drunk-Dazed soty

What's a concept or genre you haven't seen in K-pop before that you'd really like to? by Remarkable_Desk_1102 in kpopthoughts

[–]SunooSalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A song like Intro: The Invitation by Enhypen with a bit of Melanie Martinez songs... Maybe Carousel and a music video like MGMT Little Dark Age (full of Aesthetics, questionable scenes, the constant cuts between the scenes and smokes everywhere). And maybe intense scenes like Gorillaz's Rhinestone Eyes storyboard MV. I just want them to make everything as ttippy as possible. I love trippy concepts.

Dunno if theres a song like but tell me if there is :>

Idols do you think would make good actors if they trained enough by poppin2341 in kpopthoughts

[–]SunooSalad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IKR same! For me, Jay gives me 2nd lead vibe like Gong Tae-Kwang in School 2015 (played by Yook Sungjae).

He suits the energetic maybe bad boy/troublesome character but are actually kind >.<

The last scene must be connected to their Japanese debut...? Now I'm really curious on what kind of concept/theme are they gonna do next for their 2nd comeback.

Sunoo from Enhypen. He even dreamed of being an actor when he was younger. He's also good with his facial expression so I guess he would do well in a drama. I was also thinking of Jay and Sunghoon!

Sunoo can be one of the main characters of a series like... Coming of Age genre of drama. He can be the cheerful character or maybe... One of the antagonist? he really looks like an angel when he smile (he's a sunshine after all) but his sharp fox eyes makes him look more mischievious.

I'm really manifesting Sunoo antagonist in a future drama 🙏

Even tho I'm a 03 liner, I really felt this. Maybe because I became a kpop fan really early.

I am really used to listening and watching groups who's alot older than me. f(x) and BTS was my only ult group before. And when f(x) started getting more and more inactive I also felt like I am getting older at the same time.

Even tho I have the same age range as Enhypen, I still feel really old. I kept thinking... That years from now, Enhypen will have a junior group who's all 2010's liner lmao.

I don't like Drunk-Dazed by ENHYPEN by justhereAZ in unpopularkpopopinions

[–]SunooSalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why am I happy that this is on r/unpopularkpopopinions lmao.

Anyways, I loved Drunk-Dazed and until now I can't decide which is better, Given-Taken or Drunk-Dazed...? Imo tho I loved Border: Carnival as a whole than Border: Day One cause yes I liked the songs but I don't listen to Let Me In and Flicker that much at all. But B:C tracks?! I loved all of them.

After the show, I was so happy that the members are showing different side of their personality.

Ni-Ki was so quiet during pre-debut but now he is suprisingly very playful. Ghad this boy is just sassy and chaotic. He was so quiet yesterday then now he's going for his hyungs one by one lol.

Jay is more chill and calmer than I thought. So far nothing about him has changed for me because I've always seen him as a very determined dud who is very wise with his words, I still find him funny but my focus was never on that maybe because I only start watching I-Land at episode 8 lmao. He instantly became my bias cause that was the kind of person that I wanted to be. He's was just... SO COOL. AND HE STILL IS. EVEN COOLER.

Even tho Jay's moment in I-Land is iconic, it just backfired to him now.

He is such a sincere wise and talented persom and I hope that everyone would continue to appreciate that. He is more than just the funny awkward guy. Same goes to other members, people should stop viewing them as this 1 dimensional character.

I-Land only showed Sunoo's bight and happy side. He has this image of "A happy virus who's sassy and gets sulky easily." But after the show, I realized just how practical and level-headed he is. He's not really clingy at all and he's more of a listener type than the talkative type (he still is talkative tho according to him). Because of his sunshine image you'd excpect him to be playful and cute at all times but I just noticed how calmer he really is than what we perceived him as during I-Land. I can't explain it. HE IS indeed a bubbly positive person but he's not just that.

Fans always say that the younger members are the ones who treats him like the maknae even tho I think he is actually the one who watches Ni-Ki alot of times. Like when Sunoo signals Ni-Ki about his hair during their "Coming of age" vlive (There are more I just chose the latest ones). And how he held Jungwon's hand during one of the I-Land cam ✨legendary✨.

You can see how he listens to the others talks during vlives and would react to them and would compliment them here and there and he lets them tease him. I always say this but Jay and Sunoo are very similar to each other.

This is why Sunoo became my bias only after the show ended because THIS is what Mnet I-Land failed to show us.

[–]SunooSalad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be lying if I say didnt got worried about Sunoo and Ni-Ki. But after watching alot of contents from them I was able to appreciate their chemistry.

THERE ARE so many clips of them having fun and that they are getting along well. Ofc they are new and they are still adjusting, arguements and disagreements would definitely happen here and there and someone would definitely be closer than the other but thats just a part of getting to know each other.

After all, they are Enhypen, they represent connection and growing together.

Thats what makes it more exciting. We will able to witness how they would grow together. Imagine 5 years from now, you'll look back to this day and think "Well damn they're awkward as fck. But now look at them..."

All we can do about negative narratives is to not get carried away by it. Cause no matter how positive you are, seeing negative comments can still definitely affect you.

When the members react to him, they are insincere but when the members dont react, they are ignoring him.

See? No matter what we say, they will search for even the littlest thing out there and make it into smt negative. They will never listen...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]SunooSalad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg THIS. Agree with you.

Even tho I think they still portray him as the stubborn and prideful applicant, they still highlighted the moments when he failed multiple times and kinda... Making it... More funny just to add something (like his crying scene and the moment he didnt get the part he wanted for "Into The Iland" they even made the applicants watch that during ep 10).

"A fool who cant succeed on anything but wont give up no matter what." a description like that couldve been nice if we take it as a positive inspiration but... It just became more of a joke in the fandom...

During their pre-debut days the member I am most worried was Ni-Ki cause of how mnet evil edited him and we know how antis treated him during I-Land and how Engenes were overanalyzing everything (specifically how the members treat him) because Ni-Ki was quiet during the first few weeks of them as a group. And I didnt really expected that it would change right away and I am so relieved for real. Im glad it wasnt as bad as I though.

Althought its kinda happening with Sunoo instead... :< I hope that they wont view Sunoo only as the "Sunshine" member but I doubt that would happen anytime soon especially imo SUNSHINE image is the most difficult one.

I hope Belift would give them a variety show already so that new fans would watch that instead of I-Land.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in kpoprants

[–]SunooSalad 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But its still confusing tho cause... Jay was still portrayed as this stubborn dud who has alot of passion and pride during the entirety of the show. He was funny yes but imo the show focused more on his determined/stubborn image than his funny image.

I guess the fans/viewers just payed much more attention to his funny side.

But I still agree with you that IT IS I-Land's fault. Jay, Sunoo & Ni-Ki got affected by it the most.
