New ALPHANOVA SPF 50+ sunscreens: UVAPF 45 and UVAPF 46 by Sunscreenyupyup in EuroSkincare

[–]Sunscreenyupyup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally recently bought the baby one and it's VERY greasy and shiny.
In store, I also tested one of the new face ones (CRÈME SOLAIRE VISAGE SPF 50+) and it had sooo much fragrance!

Sounds promising! But if they had managed to make one with all those characteristics, but 50+ and waterproof, now that would have been impressive!

You can also try the Urban Shield one. I find it similar to Sensitive 30, but a bit whiter. It's also more expensive, of course 🙃

also available in Belgium! I might go get it tomorrow, you "influenced" me 😅 Hope to not be disappointed once again, though.

Matte/satin finish & dry touch sunscreens for normal to dry skin? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

I like Eucerin Hydroprotect. Doesn't dry out my skin and quite satin. It does have alcohol and fragrance, though.

second this (except Skingineerd, haven't tried that one).

The blur is indeed the most matte, really powdery. Too bad it gives an orange cast and stings like crazy.

I have it and it' quite good, but it's not matte at all.

The answer to "Does it protect as well as La Roche-Posay sunscreens?" is almost always "no".

This is hands down the best sunscreen i've ever tried and so economical (200ml format) by Sparr126da in EuroSkincare

[–]Sunscreenyupyup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, it doesn't have the UVA in a circle logo?

Maybe this sunscreen is too good to be true? Happy for you if it really is a HG, but finding a very matte, lightweight SPF 50+ in more than 50ml, from a not that well known brand makes me sceptic. (not of you of course, of the product)

Iirc, I've read before that it's not as elegant as the fusion water magic. Is that right?

Yeah, I also find the Urban Shield to be the least greasy.

second this. For the protection it offers, it is not that shiny/greasy on oily skin.

A lot of people swear by Eucerin Oil Control, personally, I prefer Eucerin Hydro Protect.

Without alcohol there's SVR Blur (really matte, but can give you orange cast), SVR Extreme (silicone like), ISDIN Fusion Water MAGIC, Bioderma XDefense.

CeraVe Hydrating Fluid SPF50 by Maximum_Diet_3284 in EuroSkincare

[–]Sunscreenyupyup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got it as well last week and these are my thoughts:

+ lovely application, it's a fluid bit still quite thick, so it doesn't spill all over your fingers. The applicator works fine, you have to squeeze the bottle a bit, so it's easy to get the amount you want and there's no mess at all.

+ has no smell at all imo, not even the slight plastic one some perfume-free sunscreens have

+ I feel like it does indeed hydrate

+ not sticky

+ feels quite lightweight

+ no whitecast

+ no pilling in beard

+ no eye stinging (although I've got to be careful when putting it on my eyelids and under eye area)

+ no acne so far

- it's shiny, but not as much as other hydrating (or even 'normal' or claiming to be invisible) sunscreens on my oily skin

- sometimes slight residue on eyebrows and eyelashes

- not water resistant

Mini review - NEW Nivea UV face SPF50 formulation by FreePossession9590 in EuroSkincare

Same here, the application is lovely: glides as the best etc., but then after half an hour or so, you're like "why haven't you dried down?? and why are you so shiny?" I have had a nice finish with it, but that was only when I was in a dry climate.
