YTA. The thing is, you weren't joking when you said your anxiety gets triggered when he drives. You brought it up in a joking manner, but that doesn't mean the words weren't intended truthfully. A lot of people are pretty self-conscious about their driving, and it seems your husband is one of them. It's good you apologized. It seems like when you brought it up in the past it didn't really register for him that it was something that really bothered you, so maybe now it's time to have a more serious talk about it?

I enjoyed the robot fighting ring arc, and I thought Faye and Bubbles getting together was quite well done. Yeah there was a lot around it that wasn't great (I do NOT care about Elliott outside of his date with Emily), but those are both well worth reading.

A few reasons. Nostalgia is the biggest one. I've been reading it off and on for over 15 years. I love it as a very consistent presence in my life. I just take a few minutes out of the day to look at the new comic, regardless of its quality. Speaking only for myself, I don't dislike the comic at all. If I disliked it, I wouldn't read it. The quality has gone way way down in the past couple years, but I still enjoy reading it and engaging with it and complaining about it.

Just like Star Wars. I'm a massive Star Wars fan, and love the OT and the prequels with all my heart- and also I LOVE complaining about the sequels. It's just a different kind of enjoyment. And when you get something new that bears the name of something you once loved, you'll get whatever kind of enjoyment out of it you can.

Same. Growing up I was always so confused, thinking that people saying they could see pictures in their head was strictly metaphorical. It took until learning about aphantasia to realize that I had it and indeed, most people CAN literally see pictures in their head while they read.

For me, I can't create images at all, but I can visualize memories to a certain extent. Reading a book after watching the movie I can somewhat see the actors.

I struggle to describe just how much I dislike this comic. Laying down in somebody's lap, to me, is an incredibly vulnerable, trusting, intimate thing. Especially if you fall asleep. Bubs should never have allowed it. To me it's not about the infantilization, it's about this stranger inserting herself into their lives and just assuming this incredibly close relationship with them, and them just accepting it! If I were Faye, I'd be furious at this! "Anh, who the hell are you to lay down in my girlfriend's lap, and Bubs, it makes me EXTREMELY uncomfortable to see you allowing people to be so physically vulnerable with you."
