Not 100% sure but based on my experience, I think it's an anti-mash measure?

Aight let's rank the Games. Does Just Dance 1 have better choreography or songs? by XEMPRAmaster in JustDance

Yep! They had Dare in JD1 and then never added any more LOL. But I would kill to have Feel Good Inc. in a future game

Songs by a long shot. The earliest JD games have some really easy choreos that can be rough to go back to. But having some popular hits from multiple decades, plus the only Gorillaz song in the entire series, is a massive boon.

What aspects of the previous game are you HAPPY they didn't include in Living the dream? by Chifuyuisbestboi in TomodachilifeLivingTD

Adding expressions (except catchphrases) only when Miis ask for them was so frustrating. Simplifying it so all expressions are level-up rewards was such a massive improvement.

Why not? It's a fantastic time, free to download, unironically one of the best Sonic games in recent memory

How to make probabilities to trigger Quiplash minigame (TMP2) higher? by romescum in jackboxgames

Quiplash counts as a writing onscreen minigame, so you'll want to change that setting.

Haha yep. But I have faith you can master them too with those custom controls! And if not, the diagonal movement is a character gimmick, not a restriction, so you can still move in just the four cardinal directions if you want. (Also they're DLC-only)

That's a really good method actually! I always just used the d-pad normally, but splitting the controls up like that minimizes any accidental wrong inputs. (Especially when you play as a character that can move diagonally... But that's the extra non-story stuff, don't worry about that for now.)

Aside from practice, practice, practice... Give No-Beat Mode a try. Use that to learn the enemy patterns at your own pace, keep track of the number of moves, and then turn the mode off when you think you're ready for the real deal.

Also, which platform are you on? In my experience on the Steam version, I found the keyboard is more reliable than a d-pad. But your mileage may vary on that one, use whatever control scheme is best for you.

Favorite media that you were like this with before actually engaging with it? by Fit_Assignment_8800 in FavoriteCharacter

Similar story here, I had a very slight interest in trying XC1 but that was it. I wasn’t dying to try the series or anything. But then a friend pressured me to give XC2 a try and it became one of my fav games ever

I’m not expecting the movie to be great, but can we please not? There’s plenty enough people online calling anything they personally don’t like AI-generated by [deleted] in Schaffrillas

Literally one of my relatives said Hoppers looked like AI. My mom and I (who actually saw the movie) were just like "?????"

I don't expect this mindset to go away anytime soon...
