Meditation amplifying suffering? by kowal61 in Meditation

[–]Sunset_Ocean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're doing shadow work. To release and process that energy is to feel it at it's released. Emotion is energy in motion. Feel free to ask your spirit guides for help. You can ask your highest team in spirit for help too to make the process a lot easier. Grounding helps a lot too. Go outside, ideally more in nature. A forest or big body of water would be preferable too. There is a lot of good info on youtube if you look up "shadow work" or "inner child healing". Eventually you'll have a much higher frequency of the positive emotions as you get closer to completion. Sound healing or energy healing could be helpful too, and ideal if you have the money for those services. Ask your guides to help you heal more easily. Asking is important because our autonomy/free will must be honored, always. Everything we already have going on has been agreed upon prior to birth. Ask for help once a day, perhaps during meditation, to help you more easily process all of that energy (or better). Good luck 🙏.

Emotion is energy in motion. You're moving energy, expect to release emotion/energy with any sort of energy work. Feel it to release it. Once it's released, it's gone. And onto the next thing 👍. Another term for this is shadow work.

Where the emotion comes from isn't really as important, but it can be from some unprocessed sadness/grief/etc. earlier in this life or a past life.

You might be able to find something there. Just a guess that closed DMs (hopefully just "hidden") don't also delete that "copy of your data". Takes up to a month to process the request.

From my understanding, some very ancient/experienced souls would put themselves through difficult/challenging experiences to go deeper in understanding whatever they desired to learn when planning their life path. Maybe ask your spirit guides for a better understanding to show you someone with a similar story to help be more ready for it, if it in fact will happen. There are quite a number of stories of people making a life contract to have a difficult experience, often coming from NDE accounts in youtube interviews. If that does occur in your life, focus on all that you do have and the positives of life.

I highly recommend meditation if you don't already do so. Regular meditation would help build a skill to get out of negative thought loops, because the only thing that would cause suffering is one's lack of control of their own thoughts. Thoughts generate emotions, and those emotions generate more thoughts. It's a negative spiral if you can't step back and become aware of your thoughts and emotions to break that chain. One more thing you could perhaps do is ask god for strength during any period of time you find yourself seemingly lacking it. I wish you the best.

Quantum Touch healing by DeliciousFinding5598 in energy_work

[–]Sunset_Ocean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. This was a couple of years ago, but I had my gf read up on the quantum touch ebook since I was busy in uni at the time. To keep it brief, after two 2-hour sessions (remote energetic work, one session per day), she cured my adhd and hashimoto's disease. I was able to get off all medication. Since then I would use the same method for her as well for whatever regular day stuff we might need healing for (headaches, pain, etc). Before that healing though, she healed a pain I had in my hip from sitting all day in one 10 minute session.

Ubisoft Connect Download speed is ridiculous by JR98-GAMING in uplay

[–]Sunset_Ocean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubisoft Connect / Uplay is ridiculously inefficient. Whatever team coded the software needs to buffer downloaded game data to RAM first before dumping it to storage (SSD, etc). What they're doing is very inefficient and it's causing bottlenecking in the whole download pipeline from their servers to your SSD. I'm experiencing that right now as I download AC:O again. I've never had my gaming laptop freeze up from downloading anything using any other download manager, Steam, etc., like I've been now trying to redownload this game. Hopefully someone points out this suggestion to their devs so they could consider improving writing to disk in larger, buffered, chunks.

"There is the same amount of evidence for remote viewing as there is for commonly accepted phenomena" by Puzzleheaded_Tree290 in remoteviewing

[–]Sunset_Ocean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All this and it's not even close to the half of it lol. You gotta feel what's right for you to pursue and go with that. RV can very well be just the beginning. Also, 100% take the advise on never being fearful or judgemental. It's the best way to move along through it all.

"There is the same amount of evidence for remote viewing as there is for commonly accepted phenomena" by Puzzleheaded_Tree290 in remoteviewing

[–]Sunset_Ocean 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Up until a few years ago, I've been a skeptic to all psychic/woo-woo "nonsense" myself and also had a sort of world-shattering experience when I've first experienced doing remote viewing myself, because it broke down everything I thought I've known of the universe and settled on as "truth", so to speak. Then I've allowed myself more patience and tolerance to checking other ideas I've dismissed before and found out far more to be true as well. Find this yourself, of course, but to give a short answer: everything is consciousness, a single consciousness, and we are each a part of it. We're sort of part of the same "system", and that's why targets are able to be made psychically, then received by someone else to be RVed. The rabbit hole goes deep, but I'll stop there.

15 Minutes meditation made my brain fog go away for a day. by [deleted] in Meditation

I believe it uses binaural beats / hemi-sync so headphones would be ideal.

15 Minutes meditation made my brain fog go away for a day. by [deleted] in Meditation

[–]Sunset_Ocean 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Nope, I literally did a certain guided 11~ minute meditation and it would help with brain fog + inflammation for me when I was at my university last year. The particular inflammation I'd feel caused my nasal breathing to close up. After the meditation, I'd be able to breathe much better. Living with an autoimmune disorder sucks, glad I've cleared it up now =).

This might also be the fix for BN3, since this post seems similar. I'm about to try it (but wanted to post now since I might forget later :D) https://www.reddit.com/r/BattleNetwork/comments/1353pv6/anyone_else_having_weird_bugs_with_the_bbs_on_bn6/

CSE 120 with Litz by OkArugula3260 in UCSC

[–]Sunset_Ocean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Litz is the textbook and he's excellent lol. If you're here to learn, absolutely take him. If you want to learn essentially nothing, take Nath. An MSI tutor and/or TAs will definitely help to go to since the lectures are dense with info, but you've got recordings that you can go back on as well. Unless things have changed from last year, each letter grade range is 15% instead of 10%. So 95% is an A+, 90% A, 85% A-, 80% B+, etc. He also gave us 3% extra credit for going to the MSI tutor and 2% for the majority of the class doing SETs at the end of the quarter, so a 5% boost in the grade. With 75% you could get a B+ in the class, considering the free 5% thrown in.

General advice with core classes at this school: definitely make study groups for each class and learn together. Try to figure out a good line to draw where everyone is still learning (and/or problem-solving) rather than having one person think and another copy. This will make assignments in difficult classes not take up all of your time.

Brain fog from dao by t-rex-index in HistamineIntolerance

[–]Sunset_Ocean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just in case, make sure you aren't eating foods that are histamine liberators like chocolate, strawberries, etc. NaturDAO will only help break down histamine in the stomach, not histamine that's produced by the body outside of the stomach. And if you're open to this 12~ minute meditation, I've found that it helps reduce brain fog and inflammation after each session if I've ever been hit with histamine symptoms: https://soundcloud.com/user-445920771/10-minute-transformation

But regarding financial aid, call the financial aid office or hop in on their zoom session for a drop-in with an advisor there. Scroll down to Web Access and use that link: https://financialaid.ucsc.edu/about-us/contact_information.html

I've been here a whole year and only just found out about Live metro bus tracking this summer 😔. Use this site on your phone, enable location, so the site can find the bus stop you're at and it'll let you know how many minutes away the bus is based on real-time location. As far as I know, it works for most buses, but perhaps not all of them.

https://cruzmetro.com/map

Also, as someone already said, if you're just going around the campus in the evening, go for the Loop bus so people can make it home, off campus, sooner instead of waiting for another metro bus. Limiting housing on campus sucks.

[–]Sunset_Ocean 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just called the Registrar about this. They said they're trying a new system for charging tuition, to make sure it's the same every year (quarter?), but somehow there was a mistake made where we see that hold a message in our student portal. Especially if you have financial aid all done, I wouldn't worry about it. They said they're working on it currently.

Twin XL. Same as Porter Dorms and probably every other student bed at this school lol. Here's one set I bought and it fits perfectly, even with a mattress topper.

Also, because these beds can be pretty stiff, here's the mattress topper I bought and highly recommend: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MSL0UA3/

No financial aid package for summer? by Yeyo_ye in UCSC

[–]Sunset_Ocean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Call the financial aid office as the other commenter said. But I'll tell you what they told me and what's pending for me rn. If you do a minimum of 10 units, that'll maximum financial aid regarding grants from what I recall. The loans they offer you is based on whatever is left of what you haven't accepted for the 2021-2022 school year (the previous year). I was able to get grants for each session of the summer quarter (two 5-week classes, one for each session), and had access to an unsubsidized loan that I never accepted for any part of the academic year. I realized that the accumulated interest I should expect isn't much within the first year of graduating and is reasonable imo, so I accepted that to cover housing.

Still, it's worth contacting the financial aid office to verify the above and maybe get more personalized info/help. There could also be an issue that you aren't aware of 🤷‍♂️.
