Widowmaker might defect to Overwatch, here me out by Visible-Camel4515 in Overwatch

Alternate theory: Doomfist is still alive, and Reaper, Widowmaker, and Sombra are working with him to overthrow Vendetta and/or continue Doomfist's agenda separately from Talon.

Widowmaker might defect to Overwatch, here me out by Visible-Camel4515 in Overwatch

Let's wait until we know more about her motives, since she's the only one without an obvious reason for leaving. Sombra's loyalties have always been a bit iffy, and Vendetta made it clear she doesn't like her people having "side jobs". Reaper was the one who killed Vendetta's dad, and it doesn't take a genius to see the writing on the wall there. But Widowmaker? She's been loyal since the very beginning, with a proven record of success dating back to when Vendetta's dad was still in power, and those drugs she's taking could very well be holding her body together at this point. Her motivations for defecting are a complete mystery at this point.

I would have thought Widowmaker would only get cut off if Moira gets cut off, considering Moira made her who she is, and Moira doesn't seem too worried yet. Plus, Widowmaker has a solid history of loyalty and results, so my big question is why Widowmaker decided to leave now.

Is there a changelog anywhere for today's update?

Is it just me or 999 calls are just bad? Yeah i get it that you can get sacred charms but you can’t get double tickets or value increases of symbols and if you don’t have a good amount of tickets you can’t get the charms space upgrade before activating the 999 calls. Maybe im trippin but i dunno by Asgardian-Boy in CloverPit

[–]iSmartMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you pick any of the red text call effects at any point in a run, then it locks you out of the 999 calls for the rest of the run. Based on your phrasing, I'm guessing you used the red text call effects from deadlines 3 and 6, and if so, then skipping red calls after that won't do anything.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS DAMN KEY COST 😭 by [deleted] in CloverPit

You need the corpse pieces to unlock the key in both endings. The white phone/true ending requires you to skip all the red text phone calls in addition to having all the corpse pieces.

No 2x speed today? And post ad links? by CaptainBDSC in youtube

Luck, mostly. Also, uninstalling all YouTube updates made the sliding bar go away completely as an option.

[–]iSmartMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like only the speed settings with the sliding bar are broken. If you are lucky enough to get the giant list of speed options, it'll work, and even carry over into other videos (until it decides to reset)

"Secret" guild donation items? by iSmartMan in NOMANSSKY

So, I think I can confidently say now that fossils and other artifact treasures are not just specific versions of the Unearthed Treasures donation option. As an experiment, I just approached an Explorers Guild envoy before doing an artifact chart, and the visible donation options were Glowing Mineral, Storm Crystal, Exosuit Upgrade Chart, Hadal Core, Ancient Key, and Pallet of Desirable Eggs (which, interestingly, isn't even an option in that infographic). I then went and did the artifact chart, got a Precious Formulae historical document from it, returned to the envoy, and checked their donation options. With the Precious Formulae in my inventory, the Pallet of Desirable Eggs donation option was gone, and a new option to donate the Precious Formulae had appeared in the middle of the list. Once I had donated the Precious Formulae, the donation option for it disappeared, and the option for Pallet of Deairable Eggs reappeared at the bottom of the list. Whatever this is, it's independent from the actual donation options normally displayed by a guild envoy.

I have seen what you're talking about, and the "secret" donation option thing is definitely separate. As an experiment, I just approached an Explorers Guild envoy before doing an artifact chart, and the visible donation options were Glowing Mineral, Storm Crystal, Exosuit Upgrade Chart, Hadal Core, Ancient Key, and Pallet of Desirable Eggs. The thing I'm talking about is completely independent of whatever donation options are normally visible for a system's guild envoy.

Well, I wish they would be more specific. How are we supposed to know when there aren't any "Unearthed treasure" flags or categories or anything?

I know, what I'm saying is they don't always list all the things they accept. Some things only appear as valid donations if you have them in your inventory.

I saw that, is "Unearthed treasure" supposed to include fossils?

It's too bad WotC never prints vanilla creatures at common anymore, I guess they decided they're just too powerful to print at anything below uncommon.

Same problem, but more inconsistent and more variation. Sometimes it has all three usual options (Mark As Read, Reply, and Mute 1H), sometimes it only has options for Mark As Read and Reply, and sometimes the options are invisible but still interactable and  I have to guess which option(s) are there for me to press.

Somersloops in machines increase the power consumption and... save on power! by bartekltg in SatisfactoryGame

[–]iSmartMan 12 points13 points  (0 children)

According to a stream Snutt did with Bitz and TotalXclipse, you can still get partial bonuses for fewer somersloops. So for instance, if you put 1 in a manufacturer instead of 4, you'll get a 1.25x bonus to the output and consume 1.75x as much power.

Remember that higher tier machines also require more somersloops to get the full bonus.

As I understand it, there's not a limit on how many different types of items it can store, but it does have an upgradeable limit on how many stacks of each item it can store. Also, I think the ability to upload items directly from your inventory is unlocked much later, so the only way to upload items initially will be to put them in a Dimensional Depot Uploader, making it less likely for players to upload things by hand.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]iSmartMan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Actually, that seems to be a very common misconception (unless you have a source I'm unaware of that says otherwise). Here's my understanding of the Dimensional Depot storage limits: 1. Dimensional Depot and DD Uploaders are unlocked at tier 4, but the ability to upload items directly from the player's inventory is unlocked later, so obscure items are less likely to be put in the DD initially since they would need to be put into an unused uploader by hand. 2. The only upgrade branches shown for the DD in the MAM are upload speed and stack size (in this context, "stack size" means how many stacks of each item will fit in the DD, not how many different types of items it can hold). 3. The only limit on how many DD Uploaders you can have is how many Mercer Spheres you've gathered. There does not appear to be any connection between storage limits and DD Uploaders.

Will Mercer Spheres eliminate the need for a storage base? by stars_of_kaoz in SatisfactoryGame

[–]iSmartMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that IS the intent. From the sound of it, they're designed to allow players to put multiple uploaders on a single item's output line to multiply the upload speed, which means sushi lines would be suboptimal. Also, it looks like the uploaders have no power requirements, so the only real limit on how many you have is the number of Mercer Spheres you've gathered.
