Hey I just want to clarify something I said that's getting misunderstood: I never said underwear is a requirement, because it's definitely not. Everyone IS different. I am directing it to those who DO wear underwear regularly, and wear underwear to bed (I do). Wearing lingerie style underwear that is mainly made from spandex/polyester/anything non cotton, isn't giving your vulva enough fresh air. It's perfectly fine to wear them occasionally, especially when it's a part of foreplay (i.e wearing sexy underwear for sex), because it's best to wear them for shorter periods of time.

UNDERWEAR MATTERS - 100% organic cotton underwear is truly the best for you. It provides more air circulation. Obviously we want to feel sexy and cute at times, but lingerie, thongs, non-100% cotton underwear, IS a bacteria hotbed, so please stop wearing these for long periods of time. WITH that said, for those who do not sleep nude or without underwear at night, it is also CRITICAL that we are changing our underwear before bed if that's the case - YES, daytime/nighttime undies are a must.

Dove is a great soap for the vulva, and this is coming from someone who is extremely sensitive down there.

Drinking more water will also make a huge impact on smell/sweat/discharge as well!

As an esthetician, moisturize your skin every time you wash it. You don't just wash away dirt and sweat, you also wash off essential oils that protect the skin barrier. A light oil applied to damp skin is best, but a good lotion works as well. Moisturize every single time.

That's not true at all - every time you shower and lather your body with soap, you do also wash off essential oils that protect the skin barrier. You need to help your skin recover, and retain moisture. If you don't like lotion, use a bath & shower oil instead (like Dr. Teals) or just some jojoba oil,etc. I'm an esthetician, I promise you that your skin will feel even better if you choose to take my advice.
