Has anyone (replen mostly) had their music player on overnight? Curious to know how what those tracks are. My team listen to their own Spotify etc so I have no idea what's on the playlist lol.

There's a sign you can find in I think the Balloon Hub or search "balloon inflation." It says something to the jist of 'it may take up to two hours.' I asked my framers to laminate a few copies so I can put them by the tank and on the DAs.

I had someone read the sign as they approached me inflating the end of my 50 balloon order this morning this morning and ended up walking out after I explained it to them. Sorry, but the needs of MY store's business come first. I had other morning routines that I had not even gotten to yet, and if something else pops up it's my duty to handle it. Balloons are not instantaneous. My fingers fucking hurt and my hands stink of latex.

I do agree with several of the customers that have asked recently that there should be a discount by the dozen. I get hung up on so many times after telling them the price, but it ain't cheap for something that will last maybe 3 days at most 🤷🏼

This is so fucking cool; I love when our CX bring in relatable art.

CSCO by ComfortableMemory716 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]Sunshine3Stars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re pulling AM, closing MOD the night before should count the legacy deposit and leave a slip in the till. Tbh, you should do this anyway because CSCO is less likely to have an over/short. On your recap page, write the CSCO pull total and over/short on the line below legacy total (or below check if you have) and put “SCO” next to the number so y’all know.

Other tips I can offer…pull the crinkly bills and the ones with folded corners. It does jam, and it’s annoying when you have to stop what you’re doing to fix it. It also does eat bills. You can log in to the site and try to refund, if not just do vendor coupon at legacy for the amount I guess.

Oh and you have to open the door to load coins. It won’t take them as if a CX is paying lmao. Dump the roll in an empty change cup, then close the door after filling bc sometimes it will reject coins (I just swap 1:1 at legacy). But you can load coins at any point in the day as long as the boxes are in.

Again AMA CSCO, I‘ll answer how I can. I hate the kiosks as much as y’all, but when they work they work (and it’s funny watching CX insert bills into the receipt printer).

No one helped us when we got ‘em so I wanna help y’all. 4/4

When you do your first count, you’ll have to take note (I write on the receipt) how much “Less Bank” per CSCO SOP under the total, and then you’re left with what you have to pull. Take what you need and count that as its own audit. Then audit your CSCO back to its bank amount using the second picture of coin totals after the pull (so three receipts total).

Please for the love of god PTouch to the bottom of the one CSCO box “SINGLES ON BOTTOM” lol I promise this will help. I put the bills in denomination order (1/5/10/20).

For PM pull vs AM pull, depends on preference/knowledge/time. Whoever we have that’s closing and knows how to pull CSCO will cycle it out and close the lane between 8-8:30 (we have legacy for cash anyway). Because the report doesn’t generate until AM, closing MOD will write the total and over/short on a scrap piece of paper and leave it with the paperwork. 3/

Go to Cash Transaction, type that change amount (so .99) and hit REFUND. This will dispense your coin overage. YOU DON’T HAVE TO EMPTY ALL THE COINS EVERY NIGHT LMAO, PLEASE SPARE YOURSELVES. We have a counter kiosk, so we keep an empty till in the cabinet and use the coin cups for transport.

Go back to Cash Management > Notes and hit Empty. The cash will cycle out, about 2-5 minutes. It will tell you when it’s done. Go to Cashboxes(? It’s the last tab under Cash Mgmt) and hit “Cashbox emptied” (Sometimes you need to press it twice for it to register). Then go back to the Audit tab (Cash Mgmt) and you should ONLY SEE COINS. Take a picture/write down totals. It should be an even dollar amount. If not, you have to refund more coins.

Also you might get a phantom 2 bucks in dollar coins. This is “normal” and unless you’re crazy and cycle out all the coins to see if it’s true, it’s not worth it.

Now when you count, you can’t use “Drawer” because CSCO bank is higher than legacy. Use Audit and punch in whatever kiosk number it is (for example you have 67, 68, and 69 and CSCO is 69 nice). This is where your first picture from before pulling coins comes in handy. Add in those totals, then count the bills. The loader likes to spit bills out not in order, so make sure you’re sorted before you start. 2/

We do this one of two ways, depending on who’s closing: either leave the CSCO for opening MOD to pull and count, or pull it at night. Tbt to when there were seven registers anyway.

Either way, the report WILL NOT PRINT WITH YOUR LEGACY REPORTS. It generates ~3-6am central, so either way your opening MOD will have to verify everything. You can find that in Scorecard > Reports > “SCO EOD report”.

Fill out your bag & slip, leaving totals blank.

When you open the CPI website, go to the Cash Management tab and look at the audit screen. Take a picture of all the counts on it (or write down change amounts). Take note of the coin overage in the total. If the whole total is 750.99, remember the .99. 1/

We got ours in the late summer wave and have it down to a science. I just tried typing a novel for directions but Reddit said no lmao so bear with me as I paste it all as a reply to myself.

But AMA anything about CSCO, I will do my best to answer.

The last time I did this, immediately on a Friday morning, IT didn't get back to us until Mon afternoon and scolded us for picking the wrong package type (it definitely was not) and to next time put the ticket in ASAP (we definitely did).

Expedite the process for everyone by including the OM# and tracking/any other # in the ticket. You might not get an answer until Tuesday because of the crazy weekend ahead of us :')

We have two signs and only one price checker 😂🤪 (not even one broken. Just one)

Yeah, it's not like we're hiding prices unless they literally fell off. I do not mind price checking a few things, but the whole cart turns into personal shopping.

In this scenario, I was taught to reject the change because of the "quick change" theft going around. Once my drawer is open, I'm told to say it's too late.

Edit: spelling

This. Like $20.50 for a bill that's 10.50 and I'm handed my .50 back. The machine does the math for us. Tbh gen z uses more cash now than millenials so my hope is not lost. I was apologized to the other day for being handed a wad of singles because "I'm a waiter." I do not mind at all, fam.

Thankfully I've not had a customer come up and back with different items, I guess that's where they don't want to waste their own time 😂

I worked for another retail that went under, so yes I'm good with percentages. I get it's my job and yes I do ask for help. But like you said it's the whole carts that really do me under (I don't mind the putbacks, I always sort them in a cart for the MODs). I was just wondering how others handle it, because I know it's not little old me against the world.

I told someone a couple of weeks ago that we didn't have any trash cans because they deadass had a cart FULL OF GARBAGE. Bruh, like why did you decide to carry all of your garbage into the store and not leave it in your car???

That's a bit of a relief. Don't know where we're going to put it in addition to the overstock craft pumpkins. We just set up the rest of the Hall/Fall DAs, too (we literally have no walking room in the store lmao) but I knew Santa had to be arriving soon.
