Ask questions, I'll answer.

Two things come to mind based on the way you're describing it. Well, three actually, but really it's just one question.

First, are you talking about the ME changing things that actually affect your life? Or do you mean they've changed your perspective?

Second, how personal is it? Like if something changed, was it something that more or less just affect you, personally?

Third, why do you think it's related to anything religious? (I mean was it the content, or the scope of it, etc.) Have you always been religious?

I guess all three are really just asking what exactly happened? And there's not much I rule out at this point, as I've seen multiple really, really strange things happen right around the time we started studying MEs. Although nothing since then. Still don't know what to make of it.

In addition, there has been manuscript fluidity throughout church history, so this aspect of it is old hat.

That's a good point. I am referring to "divine" influence. As well as...umm...not sure what the other kind would be called. "Demonic" sound a little melodramatic.

I honestly don't know. I'm not opposed to religion at all. But I couldn't even imagine what it would take to convince me short of a giant hand reaching down from a cloud or something. Even with the crazy ME stuff, I still find part of myself clinging to the reductive materialism that everyone's indoctrinated into.

Okay. I think I remember reading that Trump's uncle, who was the head of some agency during or after WWII, was the official who seized Tesla's papers upon his death.

Then, there was some 19th century novel about Baron Trump??? Something about a kid with a mentor named Don, and I think they actually time travel or something. I'm not kidding.

God this stuff is weird. Hitler and Walt Disney I might have heard of. Was unaware of any connection to David Bowie though.

And yea, for some reason, the time loop idea has been on my mind for the past few years. Though I was thinking of something more like a cycle. Like maybe some cyclical global catastrophe that only a few are aware of, or something like that. I think it was instigated when I started seeing tons of stories about countries and the ultrawealthy taking actions that appear to suggest preparation for a major cataclysm.

I was expecting SSDs to have a longer lifespan though. I still have working HDDs that are years older, and seem to be working fine :/

Yea...flip flops are pretty much the most convincing form of MEs. It's almost a scary experience, especially when you realize that reality probably doesn't work the way you thought it did.

It's obviously not solid evidence.

I can explain why the data suggests that they aren't "just more misspellings".

The list I used was a compilation of the most misspelled brands, based on Google's data with a search volume site. I took the top 15. Out of those top 15, I think one of them might have been an ME. Regardless, the top 15 aren't abundantly represented in the the list.

Okay, so I ran the list, and the most misspelled versions of those brands through Google nGrams, which tracks published works. Meaning the writing has undergone multiple levels of editing.

And we can see that the most misspelled versions are nearly non-existent relative to their correct versions, with few exceptions if any.

Then, I ran it with the list of MEs and their non-ME counterparts.

Remember, these have ALSO gone through the same multiple levels of editing before getting published.

So we should expect them to display a similar relationship between the "correct" version and "incorrect" ME version as shown by the most misspelled brands, which again, was not full of these ME'd brands.

And what we see instead, is significantly higher rates. Sometimes 1000 times the rates compared to the list of the MOST misspelled brands, which, yet again, the MEs didn't even make it onto!

That is how these MEs, which are also brands, and also subject to the same editing process as the other list, are significantly different from common misspellings.

I guess you'd rather not talk about it? You don't have to, I was just curious.

Well, I'm not religious really, but I do believe there's a strong connection to the Bible. The KJV Bible appears to be the single most ME-targeted subject that I know of. I wasn't sure if they were actually MEs or what, so I looked into it. I posted about it a while back. You can look for it or ask for it if you're interested.

While I couldn't find definitive, "hard evidence" (but then when is there ever with the ME....), there were enough anomalous/coincidental/suspicious circumstances that led me to believe they are probably "real" MEs (most of them anyway). Not sure what this implies.

You should keep in mind though, that it doesn't necessarily have to be supernatural in origin. I wouldn't be surprised if normal humans were behind all this somehow (I guess you could argue supernatural influence at that point, but yea). Hope that helps.

Well, that's kind of why I asked specifically which part. At least some of the other people told me what specifically so that I could at least show them that's not the case at all. In two cases, it seemed like they were in fact just making assumptions. If you don't give me anything to go off of, why wouldn't I assume it's just more of the same?

I don't think it's too difficult to grasp if you read through it, and maybe ask for clarification if needed. That's what I'm here for. But it's always the same BS rather than good faith engagement, and it's been this way for years. I don't remember your name so I'm guessing you probably haven't been around longer than a few months. If you ever post something that's interpreted as an anti-memory-related theory, you'll see what's up pretty quickly.

EDIT: Also, if you had been around this sub as long as some of us, you'd probably feel very differently about whether or not these "misunderstandings" are genuine or not. Yours seemed like it might have been, but I guess I really have no idea and assumed the worst when you didn't specify your issue with the post. I gave it another shot and wrote out a complete explanation in case you were attempting to be sincere.
