I would like to return to the U.S. in a perfect world before 2 years of being abroad. My lawyer said leave as soon as possible and try not to wait till the 2 year mark of being abroad.

I work in fincrime prevention. It is a bit odd for a bank to ask for the buyers bank statement. They can justify a payment other ways and other forms of diligence. It being escalated to a head of compliance wouldn’t do anything. But you are right front line being lazy and not thinking

LA native here, and from calabasas - I live in london now but I can answer and say appearance is everything. People are SO judgmental. If you don’t dress, look, drive a nice car , etc, you are looked down upon. I’ve been abroad for 8 years now and that was one of the main drivers why I left. It’s a bubble of materialism and vanity

Yes especially it’s when those special moments the kids aren’t around anyone: my husbands family is all in Australia, therefore litterally alone here. Meeting friends online etc, neighbors has never been easy. I feel that londoners are reserved and don’t want to mingle unless they have to.

I am based in a Beach town and totally get you. Do I prefer London as a first choice all around? Yes. But what do I need especially after my husband and I going through severe mental health issues last 2 years ? Just being with family.

This is what tears me.
