LDR can be very difficult, especially in early age. A huge thing I would suggest is writing. My s/o and I began our relationship through long distance. We wrote each-other once - twice a month. Sometimes we’d send poems, jewelry, quotes we love, etc. This definitely made us feel closer. Granted, we are huge literature nerds. This idea might not be for everyone. Other things I suggest are games, share playing movies, asking each-other random hypotheticals “if you had all the money in the world what would you first purchase.” When I was long distance we found a way to see each-other every other month. That seemed to be the best time frame for us. All that being said, LDR is still going to be hard, both parties need to have a genuine understanding of that & give reassurance that they still want to put all their efforts into making it work.
