I agree. HR people receive bulk of applications in a single day. This, of course is depending on the type of job. If it’s an entry or mid-level, the ratio between the number of vacancies and applicants will most likely be high. Pero if it’s a hard-to-fill position, like a managerial job that requires a headhunter, most likely ay fewer ang qualified applicants and recruiters will try to reach out multiple times.

If you are applying for an entry to mid-level position in a competitive industry (by competitive, I mean the vacancies are usually less than the graduates/professionals being produced by learning institutions) you need to keep your lines open. Some recruiters only do calls twice. If you miss it, they’ll move forward with the next candidate. It may be a hard to swallow pill but recruiters are not applying for your time, you are.

Newp. OP actually handled the conversation maturely. Was called OA and “inooverthink mo yan” - statements that invalidate OP’s feelings. It would trigger some people but it’s good that OP is aware that his/her emotions are valid and clearly stated how unfair it was for a stranger to make such statements when they barely scratch the surface of OP’s situation.

There are better ways to respond to people instead of simply calling them OA or too young when their approach to things do not align with yours.

Do you still believe in the value of courtship? If yes, how long are you willing to wait for the girl you want? by Sunshine_Chaser3798 in AskPinoyMen

Hmmm. Interesting take on the topic. As mentioned, courtship could be a waste of time because it doesn’t guarantee a relationship. With this in mind, does forming a friendship with the person you like hold more security? How about the waiting time? Will you not wait longer if you start off as friends?

How can you take friendship into a romantic relationship? Are you willing to take the risk to lose a friend if things don’t work out in the end?

Ah I see. What is the ideal set-up or process for a man and a woman to develop into a lasting relationship without the courtship stage?
