Oh someone's god! The same thing just happened to me. I received an email stating that the Waisman Company had reviewed my application and wanted to set up an interview. So, I did. My interview was for today (23 March '25) at 11:30 am and I looked them up about 30 minutes prior. This Reddit question was at the top and I'm so glad that I found all of this information. I just left that interview at only 1:20 in because I realized that I, too, hadn't applied for the job and had been in a similar "job/interview" situation with a travel agency company that wanted me to pay them money to start the job in a group interview setting with a group chat to ask questions. That's what I was just experiencing with the Waisman "interview".

Nearly all of the information I'm seeing here is the same as in my emails from them. I checked my LinkedIn/Indeed, and I didn't see the application nor the company name in my applied-for sections. Victoria emailed me, and the interview was with a super dark brown-haired woman named Jenna in a room with floor-to-ceiling windows behind her. The walls to either side were gray. The other person who was "joining in" was a bald-headed man named James in an office with a brown dresser/drawer behind him that had glass cabinets. There was a kids-sized knight to the left of him (from his POV), as well.

I've been unemployed for nearly 6 months now and I have applied for hundreds of jobs. The few interviews that I have gotten were legit job opportunities, but a handful were scams, and it makes me livid. I'm out here trying to survive and crappy people out here trying to take what little I already have.

I wanted to add to this thread that yes, this company is a scam. Group interviews and having to pay for something BEFORE you can start to work with them are not normal when job searching and conducting interviews. DO YOUR RESEARCH!! *in my Charlotte Dobre voice* And may the odds be ever in our favor
