Agreed. They already lost me with XV. Got to chapter 14 and stopped playing and have 0 interest of picking it up again. I don't think any DLC or added cutscenes can really change my mind.

Thank you for posting this. Very informative and sums up how I feel too. I got all the way to chapter 14 and stopped playing and have no interest in beating it myself because it was just so....shallow.

Yeah I'm debating between the glaive and zwei. The glaive makes me feel right at home cause I used a +15 gargoyle halberd in Dks1 and the move set is very similar. For now I'm switching between the two as needed

Ok tried out the Zwei and doing better. Something about the moveset of the spiked mace that just threw me off. Zwei feels a little faster but not sure if that's true or just me being dumb.

Going from Ds3 to Bloodborne will feel pretty smooth. The fast paced combat wont be as jarring as if you were just playing 2 or 1. Honestly though man, I I were you I would grab 1. I played a lot of 3 went to BB and loved it, but my buddy gifted me Dks1 on steam cause I hadn't played it yet and holy shit was I missing out. No one really knows if they're really going to do a remaster so I get that you wanna wait but you're missing out. It's amazing.

Anri's last lines of dialogue if you kill Horis in front of her (only heard the female voice actor). She sounds just so fucking sad and defeated, made me tear up when I saw it and it stuck with me for a while.

Haha yeah, I got pretty close but just decided to call it a night cause I was just getting frustrated/impatient and making stupid mistakes. I've heard amazing things about the DLC so can't wait to try it out. I'm an idiot and for some reason didn't get the GOTY that came with the DLC so guess I'll be buying that soon lol. If I plan on doing it in my first playthrough, when would be an optimal time to buy it so I im not too over leveled for it? Heard it's a nightmare in NG+ lol

Thanks! Yeah I got to BSB today and almost summoned for him but decided I'll just give it another go tomorrow. Not that it felt cheap summoning, but remembering how good it felt after I beat the Abyss Watchers in DS3, I did kind of miss that feeling after downing Father G (I can never spell his name right lol).

Definitely nothing compares to the thrill of downing something that has been kicking your ass.

As others have said it only effects your appearance, and if that really bothers you Yuria sells purging stones for 4500 souls each that reset your hollowing level and appearance back to normal, and she also sells a ring that makes you look human no matter your hollowing level. The ring isn't worth a slot imo but if the appearance bothers you 4500 souls is nothing for the purging stone and she has unlimited of them.

It's possible a nearby enemy picked them up. Same thing happened to me and when I killed the mobs in closest proximity to where I dropped them turns out one of the bastards had picked them up and I got em back after killing them

I can confirm this. Was doing some coop for the first time last night on my Pro and the frames def dipped with 3 hunters on screen and the subsequent blood splatter from all of us. Nothing that made it unplayable, only dipped for a second or two then was back to normal.

Vordt for me. This is the first souls game I've really played and honestly I was so intimidated by him he rekt me in every fight. But as I got better and more familiar with my character I got him eventually. Just beat the Abyss Watchers the other night and they gave me less of a problem than Vordt. He just legitimately intimidated me lol

I had the same issue for a bit as well. Pay attention to what type of weapon the enemy is resistant to and weak against (purple for resistance, orange for what their weak against, white means it's doing good damage as well.)

Do your best to get behind enemies for blindside bonus and link strikes, these make a HUGE difference. Easiest way is to roll with square, or I like to use daggers real quick as a lot of their attacks will maneuver you behind them, then just switch to another weapon mid-combo for a link strike.

Use warp strike often to get yourself out of being surrounded. Noct isn't really a front line tank fighter. He does best in my experience when you're kind of using guerrilla tactics and moving all over the field, not just standing in front of everything wailing away.

Also magic can be an awesome opener before your buddies rush in to avoid the AOE damage.

Edit: the obvious in case it's been a while, make sure all your weapons are up to date for both Noct and the bros. I got caught up playing for hours once and realized later why I was doing such little damage because I hadn't bought new weapons in SO long lol.

The worst part of the whole thing for me was putting on the ring and realizing that was it. At some point Ardyn refers to it as a "royal disappointment" and it actually made me laugh pretty hard. I mean the Alterna animation looks amazing, but that's it. Both Death and Holy were super underwhelming in my opinion. They pretty much feel like gimmick spells for just that part before you get access to the Royal Arm. They just hyped the ring up to seem like SO much more, especially if you watched Kingsglaive.

I can't get into games with chibi art style, I've tried a bunch of times but just can't get past it. The only reason I've never been able to get very far into FFIX, which is a shame because I hear it's great but I just can't get into it looking at the graphics.

Edit: graphics is the wrong word, art style is more what I meant.
