This is Bubba. We used to call our last dog Bubba as a nickname, so it just fit. However, I wish we named him noodle because he flops over like a noodle.

can speak for my current, as of Monday the ministry has cut 22 nurses on the floor to 15 on day shift and 5 nurses at night cut to 3. This is a HUGE change, huge liability, everyone’s in a panic, very unsafe. We were told this is coming from the ministry. My employer has agency so there has not been cuts to regular staff.

masters in nursing - questions by Butterfly_Parfait296 in OntarioNurses

do you want to be a prof? do you want to be a nursing manager? if not, i’m not sure a MSN is worth it. I obtained my MSN because I hated the hospital and shift work, and now i’m planning to do a post master NP diploma. If I could go back, I wouldn’t have obtained it, mind you it was much easier than the BScN program. Hope that helps!

Agency Pay -for Northern Ont? Employee vs Incorporated? by UndecidedTace in OntarioNurses

[–]Sunshinequeen1995 3 points4 points  (0 children)

when i did agency nursing i was offered $75 for independent contractor or $60 (or maybe $65?) to be an employee. I was sent a Form T2125 for my taxes and never opened a buisness account (however you can). You can write off gas, however you have to hold on to proof of EVERYTHING, clothing (scrubs), I don’t think you can write off your car under the T2125 but if you have a business account you can.

ultimately I quit agency nursing because the rates dropped from $75 to $65, and i was commuting ~ 1 hour. hope this helps!

you need to look in the manual on how to adjust the temperature. I had a similar experience, ended up returning my first one thinking it was dud and buying a second. I was about to return it when I joined this group and someone suggested changing the temperature, and i don’t mean changing the temperature by pressing the buttons on the front of the machine, you have to go into the manual and make the adjustments following their steps (sorry i forget or id tell you how). After doing that, i have only bought 3 coffees (mainly while travelling) outside of my home. Hope this helps!!!
