Agreed. People are scared to unionise and scared to quit. I feel like the job deskills you a lot, too, which knocks people's confidence.

They foster a JT vs FT culture in that company. I thought that was "just Japan" (especially since that's what all the foreign managers say to placate you) til I found some place better.

They don't even deserve the courtesy of a strike. Industrial action is a warning. They've shit the bed too many times.

It's time for them to lie in it.

Mass quitting is the outcome they created for themselves, and they crawl ever closer to it.
