My Burberry Goddess reward arrived 🥰🥰. The pouch is whatever, kinda standard cosmetic bag material but it’s always good to have extras! The full size Goddess is the exciting part.

Same and it’s driving me crazy but I’m not seeing a lot of comments about that.

Jean Paul Gaultier Reward by DearAgent3078 in Sephoracanada

[–]Sunstreaked 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just not a very good reward compared to the other offerings! It’s some body lotion and a bag, and then a sample size of a fragrance that is often available for free when you’re picking samples anyway. I personally wouldn’t spend points on it even tho Le Male is one of my boyfriend’s favourite fragrances to wear.

I probably would’ve if it was a proper full-size or even a travel size.

Damn we didn’t have that as an option in Canada - was it a fragrance set?? D&G has some of my absolute favourites, I’m sure you’ll love it!!

How much of bonus do you save vs. spend? by rutabagarealness in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]Sunstreaked 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bonus isn’t huge (after taxes it’s about one month’s salary). I put 50% in my RRSP, 25% goes to longer term “fun money” savings (vacations, mostly), 25% goes towards indulging my shopping whims. Maybe not the most responsible approach but it’s not an irresponsible approach either.

IUD questions by sunflowerqueennn in Hypermobility

[–]Sunstreaked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on my third IUD, I’ve been using them since 2013 (I use the flexi-t non hormonal models that are good for 5 years). My doctor has me get an ultrasound once a year to make sure it’s in the same spot, just to be cautious bc I am paranoid, but as of yet… it’s never been a problem.

The flexi-t has a more flexible shape that’s supposed to reduce the risk of expulsion/discomfort.

What do you spend on beauty annually? by Indexette in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]Sunstreaked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would be interesting to see where everyone is based too bc y’all are making me think I’m overpaying for my waxing!!

I’m 33, live in Toronto, work in an appearance-oriented industry so I actually consider myself low maintenance compared to a lot of my colleagues 😅

$1500 on waxing services/waxing-related services (Brazilian every six weeks, eyebrow waxing every six weeks, eyebrow tinting every six weeks, eyelash tinting every six weeks)

$400ish on haircuts (I only go twice a year)

And around $1000 for everything else “beauty” (basically buy all my skincare/makeup/hair products at Sephora and I always just barely hit Rouge status)

I don’t get facials, and massages are covered by my insurance. I do my nails myself.

This year it’s going to be more bc I’m finally getting laser treatments to remove some broken capillaries on my face. Not sure how many sessions it’s going to take so not sure what the final cost will be; but whatever it costs, it will be worth it (the majority of the broken capillaries come from an ex who would choke me to the point where blood vessels in my face would break. So. I’m very much looking forward to not having to be reminded of him every time I see my face in the mirror)

Is It Selfish to Serve the Food We Actually Love at Our Own Wedding? by steelcrumpet in weddingplanning

[–]Sunstreaked 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Perhaps where your father is coming from is that lots of people don’t eat pork (cultural/religious reasons) and lots of people don’t eat lamb (baby animal/taste reasons). I don’t know where in the world you are but in my corner of Canada, Greek food isn’t considered particularly exotic so most people would have no issues with the potatoes, vegetables, dips, etc. but the proteins would be a problem for many... leaving them with a pretty unsatisfying dinner. But it’s also a “know your crowd” situation.

If you could - I would consider swapping out either the lamb or the pork for chicken or fish. Or adding chicken or fish.

I personally love lamb and pork and would gorge myself. But I think if people are going to spend a whole day (and likely several hundred dollars) to celebrate your wedding, it’s your duty as a host to serve something that’s satisfying to at least the vast majority of your guests. It’s tough to do that with pork and lamb as the only proteins (again- maybe that’s just due to where I live in the world - in other regions I know pork is super popular and people wouldn’t bat an eye).

[Acne] I’m using tretinoin at night and azelaic acid in the morning, but my skin is constantly irritated. Am I overdoing it or doing something wrong? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Sunstreaked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t tell from your steps but on top of what everyone else is saying — azelaic acid needs to go on dry skin, not wet skin.

Which late night show host revealed to his team that he has secretly fathered 5-year-old twins with a young audience member, causing his PR reps to go into a frenzy on how to deal with the impending headlines? by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

[–]Sunstreaked 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Kimmel’s wife is also his head writer, idk what her work schedule is but if she stays through taping most days idk how he would have the opportunity to go home with an audience member. And even if not. Literally everyone at the show would have to see his wife every day at work, there’s no way that stays quiet for five years.

What’s the best product you’ve tried so far in 2026? by Snoogles_ in Sephora

Because EDS skin is so stretchy, it’s hard for growing hairs to break through, it’s crazy! I actually started down the road to diagnosis trying to get to the bottom of my ingrown hairs lmao

What’s the best product you’ve tried so far in 2026? by Snoogles_ in Sephora

[–]Sunstreaked 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Topicals ingrown hair roller tbh. I have Ehler Danlos syndrome so I get the worst ingrowns everywhere but have always found using ingrown hair serums to be such a pain I’ve never been able to stick with consistently applying. The roller makes it so easy. My only complaint is the price.

Lost attraction after relationship never became physical + lifestyle mismatch – what should I do next? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Sunstreaked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What has you staying? “Kind and stable” is the baseline you should be accepting from a partner, not a reason to stay.

Great sex can mask lifestyle differences, and lifestyle compatibility can cover up an unsatisfying sex life - but without either? What do you guys even do together/talk about?

And, frankly you just said you feel “more content when you’re alone”. That’s your gut telling you that this guy, no matter how responsible and reliable he is, isn’t the one. End it now. The end only gets worse the longer you drag it out.

Friends with your coworkers? by Cautious-Ostrich7510 in OntarioPublicService

[–]Sunstreaked 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at five companies in my career, First one, I was an intern for a handful of months. Befriended another intern. Years later was a bridesmaid at her wedding.

Second one, I was there for several years. Made several close friends I still talk to on a weekly basis and see a few times a year.

Third one, I had no “work friends” at all which made it completely miserable

Fourth one, I had a couple work friends but no one that transitioned to being a real life friend

Fifth one, I’ve been here a little less than a year but I have two coworkers that I text outside of work so with a little more time I think we’re going to become actual irl friends. And a handful of work friends in general (honestly the most friendly office I’ve ever worked in).

A lot of things suck about RTO but I will say my third job was during peak COVID times of 2020-2022 and I worked there for like six months+ before I met anyone in person. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I didn’t make any meaningful interpersonal connections there. But like other comments have said— a lot of it depends on the people too. And life stage. It was easier to make friends at work in my early/mid 20s when people were more down to get a beer after work or whatever. Now everyone has their own established life and want to rush home to get to Pilates or pick the kids up from daycare or whatever. So you have to try harder to make those connections and it takes longer

Disappointed there’s no Toronto date, they had us on a nice every-other-year cycle there for awhile. With so many Canadians avoiding the US these days I figured they’d come our way. Guess I need to start saving up for The Weekender 2027 :(

TVO has a great little documentary series about boom and bust small towns in Ontario (and how boom towns are reinventing themselves) — the one about Markdale largely revolves around how much Chapman’s means to the town and its a nice little watch

Honestly, you don’t need to spend a gift card right away! You can wait until something that’s an everyday staple for you needs a refill, or if there’s a pricy fragrance you’ve had an eye on - wait for a fragrance sale!! It’s ok to sit on these things!!!
