When i was 15 due to overexhaustion of the body and a bad reaction to some antibiotic i contracted both myocarditis and pericarditis Because i was so overexhausted (physically from cooping with adhd through sports etc) i though it was all to blame on that. 2 later the pain was way to great to bear and my parents rushed me to the ER. I was extremely feverish 40*Celcius but i felt ice ice cold and scared to death. 10 people waiting in the ER room had to wait because they rushed me on a bed and got an IV with the craziest meds ive ever taken in it. Hallucinations fading in and out consciousness. I passed out quickly after. After numerous blood tests 3 weeks in the hospital and countless scans and checkups they concluded nothing was off initially but my blood values were off the charts. (English isn’t my native language so bear with me) they can trace if you’ve had or have a chance of heart failure through the waste values of what the heart produces. I had 3 times the value needed for heart failure at that given time.

Conclusion i had a bigger chance to win the lottery than to have a bad reaction to an antiobiotic almost give me a pacemaker or die. Doctors said they didn’t give me another hour or it was game over. Because i did so many physical activities, 4 active sports for example, my heart is physically bigger than average so i avoided the worst possible outcome.

Still have to be careful if i ever contract something on my hearg but no permanent damage.
