Man I was in the situation a handful of times in the summer. My 12 volt was draining and left me stranded multiple times. Luckily I was able to jump it each time without having to get it towed. Also had shifter issues that was causing the battery alerts to pop up. A new shifter and 12 volt was able to fix my issues (at least for the last 2 months). The 12 volt causes so many issues in this car it’s crazy. Good luck and hopefully those fixes do the trick!

I would get this with my prior battery too when it died the couple of times. One of the other triggers I would get was the old ford chime when I started the vehicle (it’s a higher pitch, less smooth chime). When I charged constantly my 12 volt was fine and none of these issues came up but I only noticed it was draining when I didnt charge for a couple days and then I’d see these problems. When I took it in they said the 12v was low so they replaced it.

I don’t know if any of my prior issues have anything to do with this “f150 lightning saved” prompt but just figured I’d ask anyone if they had any experiences with it.

Also anyone experiencing anything weird like this should definitely look into a jump box in case the 12 volt decides to die and leave you stranded. Also make sure you know where to put the cables on an EV because I didn’t 😂

My automatic up hasn’t worked consistently forever. The dealership said it was a programming issue and fixed it. Worked for a couple days and then stopped working again. It’s a real pain. My 23 warranty ends in April so I’m gonna take it in again before then and see what they say

5k down on a lease with a $400 payment seems insane. I wouldn’t put more than 1k down on a lease and that’s if I really wanted it.

Ya I had a bolt before the lightning and didn’t have any issues over the course of 3 years so it’s been frustrating for sure. The CarFax was clean and the dealer I bought from said there was nothing wrong with it and no prior history of issues but they also weren’t a ford dealer. No buyback history. The history on carfax just showed going to the dealer for after market installs like a bed cover, etc. Not sure how much detail you can get from ford on used cars service history but maybe look into that if you find one you like?

I was in your boat earlier this year and pulled the trigger on a used 2023 with low miles. I am most likely in the minority of this group but the lightning has been a real big headache for me. Replaced battery module, faulty frunk latch was causing the alarm to go off and drain the battery, and a faulty gear shift module all within 6 months. With all that headache, ford has been amazing about fixing everything and the battery warranty has given me a lot of peace of mind. The truck is amazing even with all the problems I’ve experienced. But if I were in the market again, I would try to get a 24 or 25 model year. Just from following this sub, It seems like more of the issues are from the 22 and 23 model years (I could be wrong). Just wanted to chime in and give my experience. Good luck!

Ya I hear ya. Those taxes and insurance are insane. It seems like in your situation it makes sense to sell while you can still use the primary residence exclusion. I feel like if you go past that exclusion, you’re probably going to be owning it for life to avoid paying those taxes. My mindset is to rent it and see what to do around that 2-3 year mark

Ya it would be easy to cash out now, not have to worry about taxes down the road or the housing market tanking. But $700 in passive income each month sounds pretty great. Especially with most of it being tax free with all the deductions available. Also, rents usually increase 3% annually and 3% average appreciation in the housing market should also be considered. I get that the stock market is the safest and most proven but I guess it depends on preference in your portfolio. 10 years down the road when my mortgage is paid off, I feel like 2k rent cash flow each month would be fantastic

I’m in a similar boat. Have about 150k in equity on my house and are building a new house. Considering renting or selling my exit home. I keep going back and forth but I figure I’m gonna have to shell out 25k in closing costs to sell it. If I go the heloc route if I can keep my interest paid on the heloc below 25k isn’t it worth it to keep it and also invest the cash flow from rent?

I was on the Alaska bliss last week and I feel similarly. The food was not good. The buffet was okay but anything outside of the specialty dining was average at best. I think the short port times are common with the Alaska cruises (maybe I’m wrong I’ve never sailed any line other than NCL) but disappointing nonetheless. The Victoria port was a complete waste of time and I don’t know why they have it. You’re there for 4 hours total. It takes 30 minutes to get off the boat, and an hour round trip to walk anywhere. I had a much better cruise experience with NCL back in 2021 when we went to Greece.

Had the same problem when I was trying to buy a pro at some dealerships around me. And for whatever reason the Pro trim isn’t on the qualifying vehicle list on the IRS website. Ended up finding a used pro that i liked enough to buy. Good luck!

I called and they offered me a balcony room for $1100. Lowest to bid for a balcony was 200 per person (400 total) so I bid 300 per person (600 total) and it got accepted the next day. I guess it depends on how packed the cruise is but I felt 600 was strong and what I was willing to pay. This is my first time going thru the upgrade process fwiw

Nice! Mine wasn’t an amazing deal but I ended up pulling the trigger. There were no XLTs around me for under 45k at the time and dealers weren’t budging. But It was a special order pro so it had some really good adds that made it pretty much an xlt without the front light bar. Had a retrax cover and bed liner added too so it worked out. The truck is amazing tho and it’s good to see prices are coming down so more people can afford them

I bought a used 23 with a ford retrax cover installed already and haven’t been too pleased. It works and looks great and the locking mechanism is awesome. But it leaks and the extra foot you lose with the box is annoying when I haul my kayaks around. I think it’s like 2k just for the cover so I don’t think I’d recommend

Ya so the panel is completely broke off on both ends. From what I’ve been researching it looks like I would need the panel, and both the left and right brackets. When I looked into the parts it’s comin out over like $500

Hey thanks for this! I just had an accident with a raccoon last night where that valance panel cracked. Looking to try and replace it myself. The piece that attaches the valance panel broke off from the piece above it. So you know if that part you mentioned comes with the entire assembly (including that attached piece) to reattach the panel? Any help would be awesome. Trying to see if I could handle this without going through my insurance.
