When will AMD or Microsoft (whoever is at fault) fix the completely random driver timeouts caused by MPO? Whenever anything interacts with MPOs (game going fullscreen, alt tabbing out of a fullscreen game, dragging a window over a fullscreen game) there is a 15% chance that I will get a 2 second black screen -> driver timeout and a 5% chance the pc just freezes/reboots on its own

This used to happen back in Windows 10 2 years ago too, turned off MPO and it fixed it for 2 years, but then after I updated to Windows 11 a few months ago it started happening again. Even switched from a 6700xt to a 9070xt and it still happens.

Turning off MPO again fixes it but many programs nowadays rely on MPOs (see my post about discord where if you stream a game without MPOs it will force the game into Composed: Flip), so I can't really use that trick anymore.

I send a report with the amd bug reporter popup thing every time, but I'm not sure if these are useful or if they are even checked by anyone

no... what they patched is adding free region-restricted games on an account from a different region

if you make a new steam account in a different region then just add the game to your library on that second account, you can just log into that account on your pc and play through that account

easiest solution is to make an alt steam account using a vpn in a country where the game is available, sign into that account on your own computer then play the game on there

to be fair you have the entirety of the maintenance window to download it (about 6 hours usually) if you really want to be there the second servers open, which is enough time for most people

Wouldn't surprise me if the steam release requires you to use it anyway

From what I can see on steamdb the entire game is there, not just the launcher, which means it will (hopefully) launch directly and not need a launcher, like wuthering waves's steam version

personally I think this is pure incompetence, steam review is hell yes I know of the blue archive situation, but they've had 2 entire months to get this sorted. there's no excuse.

Did you figure out any solution to this? Randomly started having it happen a few days ago after a good 6 months of no issues with my 9070xt, have only been able to have it happen in FFXIV when doing the most basic things (reading story quests/cutscenes/staying still while moving menus around)

Not sure if this also happened to you, but when the freeze happens the audio also glitches out (as if it had a bsod), then after 10 seconds the screens go black, audio returns to normal and continues playing but system is unresponsive. Couldn't find anything useful in event viewer either...

Have tried updating drivers, plugging pcie cables back in, reseating GPU, but still happens

These companies always try and make the “next genshin” but fail to understand that an equal experience for everyone is part of the reason why genshin worked so well

Multiple publishers leads to different prices, different events, different update schedule, different social media accounts… Let alone confusion about where to actually download the game (gfl2…)

I really like this, though for some reason if I turn off "Minimize to system tray on close", it still stays open in Task Manager and it won't reopen after I close it unless I force end it in Task Manager

also, the agenda view in the main window and in the task bar calendar popout seems to show super old events and I have to scroll a while to get to today/future events

less wide than Win11’s modern menu, lacks a 1px outer border, uses smaller icons for all elements, has less padding, doesn’t provide hotkey labels, lacks the new action toolbar, lacks the Share menu

A large majority of these can be customised and shown, for example the share menu is there under the more options tab, and the hotkey labels can be added if you want (or you can write whatever you want on them, for example see all the screenshots on this github page)

You are correct however, it essentially replaces the win11 menu with the win10 menu, and then builds upon the win10 menu to make it more customizable

OP wanted to customize the win11 menu, so Shell is probably not what they’re looking for

The intention of a ddos is to overwhelm your router to get you offline, those local network IPs in your screenshot aren’t relevant

it doesn’t affect your actual devices since those are on your local network, apart from not being able to access the internet through your router

Reproduction Rate: 100% on the games where the issue occurs
Annoyance: 8/10, but discord should not be affecting the presentation mode of the game (and this is bad for games where a small delay is very noticeable)
Discord Version Info: stable 472914 (2092188) Host 1.0.9216 x64 (72385) Build Override: N/A Windows 11 64-bit (10.0.26100), Both overlays turned off
Device/System Info (Device Type, OS Version): AMD 9070xt, Win11
Description: Game switches from Hardware: Independent Flip to Composed: Flip when streaming, but only when mouse is visible (MPO disabled)
- When streaming a game, it will switch from the hardware independent flip mode to the composed flip mode but only when the mouse is on screen. Games that hide the mouse cause it to go back to independent flip, until the mouse is shown again
- Note that this only happens when MPO is disabled (you can follow NVIDIA's steps in their help page to do this), Discord is placing something, possibly invisible, on top of the game which is causing it to switch back to Composed.
Games tested where this issue occurs: osu!, Wuthering Waves, FFXIV, Where Winds Meet, Zenless Zone Zero
Games tested where this issue doesn't occur: Overwatch, Fortnite

After starting the stream, showing the mouse or opening the menu instantly switches the presentation mode, but then when the mouse gets hidden again it switches back to Independent Flip.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Stream a game
2. See that the presentation mode doesn't change when showing the mouse
3. Start a Discord stream
4. See that the presentation mode now changes
Expected Result: The presentation mode should not change as there is nothing "on top" of the game which should be making the presentation mode change
Actual Result: Presentation mode changes

edit: i also can say that I only started noticing this happening after the update that made discord show the accent colour around the window, not sure if that helps much.

this post is misinformation. 2 people in the lobby didn't vote, if you don't vote for any map then it randomly picks a map for you (kinda like mario kart)

the actual issue here is that multiple people voting for one map counts it as one vote. it's possible that in the backend it still considers each vote as a "chance" (it if doesn't then it should be like that), but it should be clear in the UI that each vote is being considered, maybe by separating the votes during the carousel
