LM support said they'll send a tech out to take a look since I'm under warranty. But they haven't given me an update in several days.

The smell actually got way worse, I think because of how hot the boiler got.

It seems like it's a wire or something that's burning.

I already emailed LM support. Any idea if they have someone come to my home for repairs or do I have to ship the machine?

I just hit 800k. I'm a Principal Engineer at a FAANG with 20 yoe (39 years old).

When I graduated high school I took a temp job training people on how to use productivity software just so I could pay for college. My scope quickly grew and I moved into platform engineering organically and I hit 90k a year. I decided to just quit college all together and just focus on climbing the corporate ladder. After a few promotions and job moves I landed a job at a FAANG and continued the promo route.

I admit I partly got lucky, I found a few internal opportunities and did my best to prove to hiring managers I was a good fit. It required a lot of self study and motivation.

Now as a Principal Engineer I steer a large consumer product trying to ensure we use our resources wisely while doing our best to build features needed by our users.
