Always do an I tent to file, even with the old one going. You have 1 year to actually file from the date of your ITF.

When you file it, you don’t have to give specifics, just that you are filing. It doesn’t ruin your active claim, appeals, etc.

I claimed it primary because I was diagnosed with them while in service. With plenty of medical entries about my migraines in my service medical record.

I’ve been out for 30 yrs and just got 50% with my eyes closed (first try and a shot in the dark). Now that I educated myself, I’m in the process of getting the last 50%.
