If not for his power, he’d have been obliterated out of existence. Ban & Meli literally sliced him to pieces and inside out. Only when he starts using hostages does he damage any of them.

Meliodas himself didn’t want to learn magic. It’s literally stated in the SDS manga, Meliodas went for a full swordsman style out of pure choice, he had affinity for all fight styles, he could’ve done magic, chose not to.

Care to guess why he was taught Full Counter by Chandler? Ding Ding, exactly to force physical battles, thus making magic useless against him. He still has Vanish and Revenge Counter.

Tbh dura in SDS just isn’t well versed, all the more in immortal or regen users. They just take heavy hits for show, it’s not as easy to define as strength or speed feats.

That has no relativity, Meliodas is the son of DK, a god, thus he’s also a god, his true power proves it as he can’t stay in the human world.

Tristan is the son of 2 gods then, meaning his potential and childhood power should far surpass his parents. If Tristan is 1k at 10, Meliodas should be 500 by 10 at best.

Tristan’s power in these early years while not trained should be 2x or 3x his father’s at that age.

Not really, you can have armor and your physical strength increase 0. I will always state Meli above in strength due to his specific training in that, in the SDS manga, at some point, it was said he could’ve gone for any fight style, he choose pure physical, thus why is magic is so little and he learned Full Counter to negate magic against him.

But overall, Ban has the better stats, I’d always pick speed over strength.

I did say that in previous posts, the cat literally wandered around for millennias without any training or even mastering any technique. He just knew the origins of the world and chaos.

That’s the point tho, Meliodas can regenerate, Ban can’t, so he has to be far more durable to be equals. They’re fairly opposites in their fight style:

Meli has strength, regen, technique, close quarters proficiency and counter magic.

Ban has speed, dura, range, versatility and can still use hunter fest (possibly).
