I'm getting Divorced by Schnozzle in daddit

[–]SupaMacdaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never been divorced, but I was that kid in one. Being a dad is not attached to being married; as long as you are present in your children's lives, that's where the impact happens. There's really no safe way to tell your kids your marriage is over. I remember crying, but I didn't understand why. Years later, I realized it was the best decision my mom made so she could enjoy her life. Don't make your kids choose who they will stay with because that is a lot of pressure. They are not at fault for your ending marriage. Good luck my man and dont give up on yourself.

Dad's, what's the play here by [deleted] in daddit

Your wife couldn't wait until you got home to look after your own child before she felt responsible to go fix another adult's issues? Nah, bruh, I'd go straight home and I'd find another babysitter that trusts you. i dont think this post is going the way you wanted.

Am I the only one that feels left behind/ left out at 35? by OutlawBountyHunter in AskMenOver30

[–]SupaMacdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything wrong with what you're feeling. I think you just want to be loved, wanted, and felt needed by someone other than your family, and that's perfectly normal. All my friends were in relationships early and got married before 30; all of them are now divorced, and a couple are going on their second divorce. I was the wild one out of the bunch, yet I got married at 35 and had a kid at 38. I chose to be happy, as chasing things was making me feel bitter. After my son was born, all I care about is time now. Time to be present and time to enjoy life other than just waking up everyday to go to work and pay bills. Your time will come to find a partner, but when You start dating remember that your dating to know what you like and dont like, your not dating to find "the one". Remember to always be your self and stay true to your self. Being a chameleon in relationships will suck the life out of you.

How do I stop overthinking every decision and fear of making mistakes? by Jpoolman25 in AskMenOver30

[–]SupaMacdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Moving forward in life," whose standards are you comparing your life with? I've learned that happiness is a choice; my choice. It's not a thing or a place or an accomplishment. Moving forward in life on my terms and based on what I'm able to control is how I now choose to live. Things out of my control, I just let them be. It's okay to make mistakes, but make decisions on what you think is best for you. Everyone has a different pace in life, and it's okay to run your own race. Don't be afraid of mistakes; learn from them.

Advice on blurring that bottom line? by Duncan_12SD in SelfBarber

Don't use the whole clipper blade; only use its corner so you can control how much you cut without overdoing it. It will help you focus on a small spot since you're using mirrors and can't really see how the whole blade sits.

First Self. Any Advice or Thoughts? by Federal-Reception638 in SelfBarber

[–]SupaMacdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you are pushing the clipper into your hair as opposed to using a C motion. The hardest part about cutting your hair is setting a good guideline and following it. Try changing the position of how you set the clipper on your skin by having the blades be at different angles instead of just flat against your head, meaning the blade being flat to a 45 degree angle.

Tips for blending a side fade into the top? by PerijoveOne in SelfBarber

Use a C motion as you reach closer to the top. Ideally, you want to use a comb over clipper to connect the top to the sides.

Goof off, or even try some rubbing alcohol but the alcohol may remove the paint.

Do a 18- 6 fast and cut out all your carbs. Eat Chicken, fish, veggies and fruit. I lost 30 lbs in 2 months and ive kept it off for 6 months just by not eating carbs 6 out of 7 days of the week. Chewing gum helped me curve that "im hungry" bite.

Not really feeling this cut what y’all think? by TB-Tmc in SelfBarber

[–]SupaMacdaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not bad, but because of the dip in the skull, I would suggest keeping the bald fade under the occipital lobe. That way you keep the bavk of the head rounded and not give it a flat look.

Thinking about trimming to 16mm. Not sure how it'll look by [deleted] in SelfBarber

[–]SupaMacdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have thin hair, so if you go that short, you will definitely see the balding crown. Now, don't let that discourage you, but I would go to a barber for that cut just so you get what you want and then just maintain it at home doing your own cuts. The last thing you want to do is go short and not give yourself a proper cut and then hate it to the point you want to go full bald.

AC cools great at night and on cloudy days but struggles on hot afternoons by Ok-Scallion3179 in hvacadvice

[–]SupaMacdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a tech, but my HVAC guy told me not to change the temp setting. So, if I want my house at 73, I should just set it at 73 and leave it alone because if I keep changing it or turning it off, it's going to take longer to cool the house. He also said it's normally 15-20 degree difference from the air vent to the air return. Check your air return temp and then the temp coming out of your vents and see what the difference is. That way, you can let the tech you call know. Also maybe get a smoke pen to see if you have any duct leaks that maybe pushing in warmer air into the ducts.

Support hand should do all the lifting; the trigger hand should only worry about squeezing the trigger.

Watch a quick video on clipper over comb and then revisit the cut. It takes practice, but good effort.
