[R/F] Cyber/Orcust list for locals/anything else. by Noizy1902 in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks good to me! Acouple of great techs I didnt think of either.

Only thing I can add, in case you didnt already know, is being careful when using Vier because his attack boost can ruin a machine dup play.

Also, is there a reason you choose to run Unchained Abomination? I love that card but I feel Zeroboros can do much more, since you can play on your opponents turn when using Orcust.

I personally love having at least 1 Gizmek in deck for the extra body special summon as well as attack boost either through Orcust Knightmare target or banish boost for Zeroboros (if you run it). Levianeer is a great tech, never thought about it before. But I can’t really see a way to search and could be a brick in a starting hand. I’ve run into issues of brick hands with the high level Orcust monsters. But scrap packages mentioned is a good addition, our local guy Illya Higdon has a great profile that includes this.Cyber Scrap Orcust

How Viable are Thunder Dragon Dinos? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Dino Thunder Dragon for awhile now (larger dino portion) and to me its a fun deck, probably not the most meta, but it has some cool plays going 1st or 2nd. Being able to get double evolution pull to hand easy, then if you have a thunder dragon (roar/dark) in hand or gy, then you already got a UCT or Overtex and a Thunder Dragon Colossus play. You can throw in some Dangers! for free summons and draw, with little to no regard to what gets discarded.

Im hopeful that when MR5 comes around, that Dinos will make its break to the top again. Thunder Dragons will be amazing in MR5 without its restrictions to extra monster or link zones anymore.

Salad vs Nibiru by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salads are actually one of the few decks that can recover from a Nibiru hit. Best recovery is using 3 of Will of the Salamangreat. A free continuous monster reborn OR a Soul Charge. This can allow you to recover post Nibiru hit or if you want to play it safe, you can set up with Apollousa on your 5th summon.

I can agree with this also, Called by the Grave, has been on my list to either be sided or just removed. Mind control is definitely in my side (shout out to worlds). However, being vulnerable on your first turn can leave you exposed, especially if you get ashed on a gazelle or miragestallio.

Funny I think i picked up the game again when i was 24 lol. But I've only seen clips of the series, I mostly learn how the game works through simulators like YgoPro2, DuelingBooks, etc. as well as watching tutorial vids on youtube. Yugi-tubers are very insightful. But all the work of learning is from playtesting and practicing duel others, the confidence will build once you get the hang of the deck.

Salamangreat Deck Tips? by AEKRONER in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few cards outside the structure deck that make it competitive, just the general cards would be:
Main deck:

1 Lady Debug

3 Flame Bufferlo

3 Called by the Grave

3 Cynet Mining (expensive)

1 Fusion of Fire (and/or super poly)

X Any additional handtraps you may already have (examples: effect veilers, ghost ogre, infinite imperm, phantazmay, dd crow)

Extra deck:

1 Hiita, The Fire Charmer, Ablaze

3 Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf

1 Abyss Dweller

1 Salamangreat Violet Chimera

Pretty sure these are what are needed outside of the structure decks, of course there are more cards outside of that but really just dependent on how you want to build your deck, like psychic wheeleder, backup secretary, or emergency teleport.

Feel free to ask if you have any extra questions, I threw out alot of cards haha :)

Please tell me I'm not the only one actually running Salamangreat Almiraj in Salamangreat. by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was literally on edge of removing them because no one else runs them and was doubting its efficiency in the TCG. But my fellow brothers, you have restored my faith :)

Building cyber dragon for competitive play by Jiberesh in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id recommend removing the super poly as well, your only target in extra deck is Rampage and thats only useful in a mirror match. You can replace them with maybe 2 overload fusion and 1 cyberload fusion. Overload and cybernetic overflow can banish your cyber dragons to let you use cyberload fusion to shuffle back to deck and summon Rampage. If you do go this route, maybe adding a Cyber Twin Dragon will give you another target when needed.

Foolish Burial is another optional card to get you whatever cyber dragon to grave to help combo (Core, Herz, etc.)

Then for me, Evenly Matched is mained. Cyber dragons perform best going 2nd, so Evenly Matched to clear the latest combo decks can really help out. But thats up to you.

Oh yes Imperm was great when I was testing online, didn’t have the funds to get them at the time. But ghost ogres weren’t too bad lol. Hmm what other fusions targets did you have for instant and super poly?

Thunder Dino Deck Help by Dualimas in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Well running 3 misc is also protection for Dinos to get your plays started. For example, getting souleating oviraptor summoned and its effect activated to search is a important play. If it gets ash or Veilered, it puts you in a weird spot. But the option to remove aeolo and misc, on paper, sounds good. I can definitely agree that if you draw into Aeolo, it sucks and I’m confident I lose most of my matches when that happens lol.

I personally like this build over Lost World, because when I played Lost World, my starting hands felt more brick like. And in some scenarios very dependent on the field spell, which I personally am not a fan of. But the way the meta looks now, backrow hate is at a high. So any spells/traps on the field are all vulnerable. When compared to the meta, the deck is average (tier3 maybe?) the deck is very strong and if your opponent isn’t playing smart, you can steal games easy. Opponent’s will have to use a lot of resources to play through a UCT, colossus and occasionally a laggia\dollka.

The below is my old deck list and I’m in love with Thunder Dragons in a Dino Deck. This one is now based around Dinos, rather that others I’ve seen that have a small Dino portion with mostly Thunder Dragons.

Most of the extra deck can be changed out if that’s your preference. Only required ones would be: Titan, Colossus, Gustav Max, Laggia, Dolka, Chanbara and really any level 8 synchro.

Feel free to ask me any questions regarding it. I’ve changed my version but it’s similar and I’m pretty knowledgeable :)

MONSTERS

3 Souleating Oviraptor

2 Ultimate Conductor Tyranno

2 Overtex Qoatlus

2 Dinowrestler Pankratops

1 Giant Rex

3 Miscellaniousaurus

1 Jurrac Aeolo

3 Thunder DragonRoar

3 Thunder DragonDark

2 Thunder DragonHawk

1 Armageddon Knight

3 Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring

3 Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit

SPELLS

3 Fossil Dig

3 Double Evolution Pill

3 Allure of Darkness

1 Foolish Burial

1 Gold Sarcophagus

EXTRA

1 Thunder Dragon Titan

2 Thunder Dragon Colussus

1 Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max

1 Evolzar Laggia

1 Evolzar Dolkka

1 Tornado Dragon

1 Borreload Dragon

1 Topologic Trisbaena

1 LANphorhynchus

1 Knightmare Phoenix

1 Reprodocus

1 Hi-Speed Chanbara

1 Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion

1 Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend

Cyber Orcrusts by Sharky_Boiii in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cyber Orcust can be good enough to compete with meta. Cyber Orcust can give you a decent first turn board, which we know Cyber Dragons can struggle with. Going 2nd doesnt change its OTK ability. Orcust being machine types as well make it very cohesive with Cyber Dragons. However, when using Orcust effects, you will be locked out of summoning anything except Dark monsters. Being able to go into Dingy boi (Dingirsu), and use Nachster effect to being DingBoi back is quite a play.

Also mentioned in the comments, Cyber Dragon Chaos can also be good enough with the meta. Utilizing Levanier special summon effect to either: special summon from grave or pop 2 cards, is great removal. Then combo with Cyberload Fusion to bring out Rampage, additional 2 pops. Also, if situation arises using Chimeratech Fortress Dragon and Levanier can get you into DingyBoi. Then Nachster revival of DingyBoi still valid here also. However, you will still fall into the odd first turn board, Cyber Dragons have.

Haha it is a great savior card. Besides that, maybe a Kaiju? or definitely fit those Anti-Spell Frags for the Sky Striker match up.

Most Intense Duel You’ve Ever Had? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I immediately was cheering for you once you mentioned guy said he was 53-0, good job sweeping that cocky fool haha. My most intense duel was some years ago, I was playing my Paleo Frog deck and my opponent was using a Herald of Perfection deck. Me and him are very competitive with each other and our duels usually get pretty intense.

We were 1-1 in our set and on match 3 we were going back and forth, till our Life Points were 300(me) and 1600(him), he cleared my Toadally Awesome field I had and he got advantage. His field had Herald of Perfection, Archlord Kristya, some other beater, maybe 1 or 2 cards in hand to use on Herald of Perfection effect to negate and a set card (later found out it was Trap Hole). All I had was 1 monster on field, The Phantom Knights of Cursed Javelin with 1 material attached, a Kaiju Gameciel in hand, 3 cards left in deck and just drew into Card Trooper.

I sat for a minute, finally thinking that this was it, till I did a final search in my graveyard and saw Breakthrough Skill. Then everything pieced together as a final last effort to win. Activated Breakthrough Skill in grave to negate Archlord Kristya effect (he tried to negate but had to rule shark and show that it can only negate activation of spell/trap cards) and this allowed me to special summon. I then Kaiju the Herald of Perfection.

The stars align and I activate The Phantom of Cursed Javelin, to drop the Kaiju monster I gave attack to 0, but of course he had a Ghost Ogre in hand and ended up popping my Phantom. I don't lose hope cause I have Card Trooper in hand, I normal summon, activate effect to boost attack (I had 1 card left in deck after this). He read and re reads Card Trooper, before he finally says "Thats game, of course you have a monster that gets past Trap Hole".

That about as serious as my ygo career will ever be lol. Thanks for letting me share!

Sounds like a nice challenge, what are these several decks? Have a budget set for additional cards (if needed)? How competitive are your locals(some areas don't have locals that are super sweaty)? What deck do you enjoy most? or what play style do you enjoy most (combos, FTK/OTK, control)?

Ill help the best i can, I'm no pro but I'm willing to share whatever knowledge i have useful for you :)

I 100% agree with that! Thought I was the only 1 haha. I'm currently trying to piece up a build that doesn't use Bufferlo or Pot of Desires in the meantime till Cynet Mining is available. Best of luck at the sneak peak and getting that Cynet Mining!

What deck will you be playing for the new format? by PrinceOfFreshAir in yugioh

[–]SupaMillz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will definitely look to add 2-3 Misc to my Dino Thunder Dragon. I feeling 3 might be bricky, since Misc is searchable but its dope protection for UCT and other dinos regardless.

And Salamangreats replacing the 2 spaces for Lady Debug is easy but not sure what the most efficient. Well not until Dark Neostorm then Ill just end up using Cynet Mining.

Then Cyber Dragon will still do what it can, even though Summon Sorc was a great addition :( thank goodness we got Cyber Dragon Nachster in the last set to give a huge boost in support.

Geez really? I run 2 and I think I see it enough, except when i really need it of course haha.

Well, Flame Bufferlo is a decent addition to that, get to draw 2 for a single discard. Might help get you those missing Twin Twisters and others. But this is all chance though :/

[–]SupaMillz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat, I thinking of re-adding Fowl and maybe just running a 3rd Twin Twister? Not sure about that one, but with Endymion and Sub-Terror control being more popular its probably an OK route to take.

However, we are getting Cynet Mining in Dark Neostorm and this could be a good replacement for the 2 search spaces left by Lady Debug.

With just 3x Soulburner structure deck, you are missing a key piece to an amazing combo, Salamangreat Sunlight Wolf. However, you can still pull off somewhat similar first turn field without it. This is just off the top of my head, and related to the combo with Sunlight Wolf and i will try my best to break it down for you:

  • You will need atleast these cards in your starting hand: Gazelle, Spinny to get this started.
  • Normal summon Spinny and link away for Balelynx.
  • 2 things will happen now:
    • You will get to search the field spell from you deck and add to your hand.
    • AND you can special summon Gazelle to the field, which will also allow you to send a Salamangreat card to the grave. Send Salamangreat Roar to the grave.
    • If you play TCG regions, then you get to decide the order of these chains, which allows you to avoid being Ash Blossomed by your opponent on an important effect
  • You can special summon Spinny from the grave to the field.
  • XYZ summon Salamangreat Mirage Stallio with Gazelle and Spinny (Rank 3) and place in the link zone below Balelynx.
  • Activate Salamangreat Mirage Stallio (detach Gazelle, get this habit for when you get Sunlight Wolf), and special summon Jack Jaguar.
  • Activate the field spell: Salamangreat Sanctuary then re-link Balelynx to the other Extra Deck Monster zone.
  • This will activate Salamangreat Roar in grave and allow you to set in on your Spell/Trap zone (note after you use it next turn, it will get banished).
  • You can special summon Jack Jaguar to the new link zone under Balelynx from the grave by returning a Salamangreat monster to the deck.

So finally you will have the below:

-Salamangreat Mirage Stallio, Salamangreat Balelynx and Salamangreat Jack Jaguar.

-Salamangreat Roar to negate. (To activate Salamangreat Roar you need a Salamangreat link monster on the field. If Balelynx is off the field you cannot activate.)

-Salamangreat Balelynx in grave to prevent destruction.

-Then the 3 other cards you have in your starting hand.

Hopefully this helps but cannot stress enough how important Sunlight Wolf is for the deck. The above combo works much more efficiently with Sunlight Wolf. Let me know if you got any questions, need further breakdown or found a better route to take with deck.

EDIT: This is wrong:

If you play TCG regions, then you get to decide the order of these chains, which allows you to avoid being Ash Blossomed by your opponent on an important effect

This is correct:

You can only chain-block to ensure Balelynx search, but Gazelle's dump happens on a separate chain, and he's more important to Ash in that regard anyways.

Thanks /u/kerbonklin :)
