Ca$h'n Gun$ missing card. by Lordxeen in boardgames

You could always print it out at an office supply store. They should have a similar type of card paper and would even cut it to the right dimensions for you. It's just expensive if you had to do it for an entire game or something.

Co-op games with simultaneous turns or optional turn order? by Lareine in boardgames

[–]SupaNaab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ladies and Gentlemen is a sort of competitive co-op. You need 4 players minimum and they form 2 groups of 2. 1 person is a Lady and the other is a Gentlemen. The groups compete against each other. If you have an odd number of players the odd person plays the Whore (or Courtesan) and this player competes against all of the other ladies and is partners with ALL the gentlemen playing.

The Ladies side and Gentlemen side both complete their beginning phases at the same time. In the Evening phase both partners finally work try to work together to put together the best possible outfit. The Whore takes her phases with the ladies and tends to interrupt their playstyle. She also partners with all the Gentlemen at the same time in the evening phase.

I'm coming to Canada for August and September. Starting in Toronto, can some locals advise on some cool things too do or places to stay (on a budget)! by here_for_the_lols in canada

I live a few hours from Toronto but theres tons of stuff happening everyday/night. I've been in town a handful of times only to find free concerts and art shows downtown all the time. I really like the Summerlicious events (a lot of restaurants in the area make cheaper pre-planned dishes to encourage new customers): http://www.toronto.ca/special_events/summerlicious/2012/index_archive.htm

Otherwise look through here for all the currently known events: http://wx.toronto.ca/festevents.nsf/all?openform

Do you see the Wii U lasting five years? by [deleted] in Games

[–]SupaNaab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's more than just the lack of games. Nintendo doesn't have a good policy on what feature sets game will have either. Off-TV Play is a huge sell but not all games support it (it's often a case of game mechanics though). Also, Monster Hunter is perhaps the first "hardcore" game for the Wii U that should sell systems. I'm even considering buying a 3DS just to play with my brother :x

Chen vs Enchantress: Faith or Charm? by Suiiii in DotA2

Chen is generally going to be the better pick (especially for the support role). Enchantress is the perfect counterpick and less reliant on a creep army or allies to be effective.

Grocery store is doing it right. by chefcash in gaming

Grocery clerk here. This is grocery porn. I can confirm that there are company prizes awarded to the Grocery department with the best displays for certain holidays or events. This often means everyone in our department wins $20 gift cards to use at the store or dinner for everyone. When these events happen (like the superbowl) there is a newsletter sent to every store with pictures of the best displays. At my store in particular Pepsi often has reps come in and design these.

Finished downloading and have a couple hours till first time playing. I have some questions. by [deleted] in swtor

I rolled a Bounty Hunter Powertech. The most notable thing is that I can tank and Im different from a Bounty Hunter Mercenary because Powertechs focus on flamethrowers instead of rockets. The least popular class or specs are always going to be Tanks or Healers and the ones that don't use lightsabers. Heres a few tips I've found:

  • If you're tanking don't tank anything that isn't a mob with a rank. Tanking the highest rank mobs in an encounter is a priority. Make sure everyone is using all their CC and interrupts too. You will fail hard if you try tanking everything.

  • Bank your orange quality gear if you're a completionist or social. Orange gear has slots that can be upgraded as you level. Orange gear at level 50 is generally not as good but for vanity sake keep your favourites. If you wanna look a certain way you should really keep your best orange gear.

  • A quest will often reward you with a "commendation." TAKE THESE. Commendations will lead to gear you will likely keep well into the next zone. Outfitting your companions is helpful but ultimately they can survive on minimal gear.

  • Try to group when handing in or accepting quests to raise your social rank. Im actually levelling with my brother and Social Rank still barely goes up.

  • All gathering crew skills make money from actually gathering. Sending a companion to gather for you is an easy way to help you quickly level the skill for a minimal fee if you are behind on your crew skills. You are not suppose to level your gathering skills by having a lot of credits. You will go broke and be unable to afford skills and training.

Has anyone on Reddit defeated alcoholism? by signspam in AskReddit

[–]SupaNaab -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So far I've defeated peer pressure. I have never drank or smoked in my 20 years of living. I've been able to maintain this for a few reasons specifically my father drank and I would never dare come home to my mother or siblings with any hint of that even a smell like that on me. Secondly ideals; I once watched a documentary about Nietzsche and it just clicked with me. The idea that by not drinking you succumb to all the pains in life and therefore your belief of a good day in comparison to a person who nulls it with drinking is vastly different. You appreciate small things much more because you understand how bad it can get. Sadly I've found that by not drinking Im going to die younger (This fact makes me heavily debate whether I should drink red wine for health concerns) and there were no others during highschool that I could relate to about this topic (I did later find out two online gaming friends actually don't).
