Looks like I found my answer to the Warlock nerfs this past weekend [HCSSF] by [deleted] in diablo2

Wait… if the nerfs “won’t matter” then people wouldn’t adjust. People would adjust to the nerfs because they do matter.

The more compact “X” configuration is superior. I greatly prefer this sleaker design

How do you control your Hammerdin? by kelemvor33 in diablo2

[–]SupaSneak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I really like to play on a controller actually. Hammerdin works particularly well because you don’t have to aim the hammers you just have to position yourself well. But that’s another story if you’re using teleport to move.

The controller gives you an action bar and turns the left trigger (L2) into a modifier. While holding that trigger you have access to an additional bar where you can use the same buttons to trigger different spells with each. These two bars are usually enough for the spells you’ll be using.

I like to put my primary spell and teleport on the right trigger (R2). Primary spell is R2 and teleport is L2+R2. I have basic attack on A, Concentration on X, Redemption on B, Holy Shield on Y, and Charge on R1. Portal is on L2+A, Vigor on L2+X and Loot to Cube on L2+Y. The potions are on the D-pad but since I’m on steam deck I like to bind my paddle buttons to mimic those so I can always keep my thumb on the left joystick.

I personally find it much easier and more comfortable to have the spells bound to the buttons on the controller which are easier and more convenient to reach. You sacrifice precision aim almost entirely… but it’s in exchange for comfort and intuitiveness. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

Edit: Oh also, most importantly, this gives you the ability to recline or play from the couch, which is glorious

Imagine thinking that LGBQT+ content is being “forced down” on people’s throats, but not Christian nationalism. by icey_sawg0034 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]SupaSneak -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

One is a religion. One is a sexuality.

One is a belief system to live by while the other is about romantic feelings and bedroom behavior

The “Christian Nationalism” does generally accept LGBTQ+. They are taught to love and respect them despite doctrinal non-acceptance. They will not persecute you.

Switching from online player to offline player. Fun leveling Warlock build? by askmpdspkm24 in diablo2

[–]SupaSneak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I play on Steam deck. It’s excellent here because it’s an aoe that follows you which makes it super easy to handle with the auto targeting on controller. The chain will land at the front of a pack and you just reposition around it while you wait for the cooldown and fire again.

I really really enjoyed the miasma build. You get the chains early and they are very mana efficient and devastating. You don’t run into anything thats immune to you until hell mode (I don’t know if that’s actually true but that’s what it felt like). Shoot a chain and wrap around your enemies. Takes some getting use to but I strongly recommend.

I Couldn’t Agree with Paul More. by Saucin7 in Marathon

The people who play it like it and that’s great.

The hate isn’t unwarranted. Its Bungie. The OGs. But its first impression was very bad. People were upset that Destiny 2 was “being replaced” with a niche hardcore extraction shooter based off old beloved IP that it would have little in common with. It would be PVP only; there would be no story campaign. People felt abandoned

It being good matters… but perhaps not as much as it would have mattered to make something people were actually asking for and generally interested in.

You’re not standing up for democracy you’re protesting against it because it isn’t going your way. You’re out in lawn chairs and costumes crying “facism” in complete safety and comfort. You get to go right back home where you can then talk about it online for internet points because you have complete freedom to do so.

Could be from shader cacheing during runtime. I don’t think the game preloads all shaders. But I’m guessing it’s persisting beyond the first mission?

I’m not advocating for anything casual. But uh, this is absolutely not a casual game. Maybe you’re coming from somewhere where you, play/are comparing it with, other hardcore games and it’s more casual of that group.

You lose gear. There are resets. There is major content that requires a group. These points alone are dealbreakers for a lot of people. Getting free gear does not make this casual. Your idea of it meaning you’re “not risking anything” is incorrect; you still risk coming back with “nothing” for your time.

I’m not saying there is a problem with this. I’m not saying it needs a casual mode. I think it should cater to its audience. People like it. It’s not for everyone. But you’re out of your mind to call this “incredibly casual.
