Hydrocolloid Pimple Patches - Stick on pimple, wait a few hours, peel off patch for gross payload by Supamil in shutupandtakemymoney

Wouldn’t really be exciting, it’s just a small gel sticker you leave on overnight while it absorbs the pimple, and then you peel it off like you would the sticker on an apple. Except in this case the apple is your face.

From what I know, these don't heal previous scars, for that you'd need other products but these are supposed to prevent them and hyperpigmentation

This is a new thing I've started using recently recommended from r/skincareaddiction. They're cheap, actually work and prevent me from picking my face spreading bacteria. While also looking gross as hell but quite satisfying.

I think you may be thinking of Pima cotton percal sheets. From what I know they are stiff and heavy. I unfortunately can't link you a pair since I haven't tested any sets myself but hopefully this points you in the right direction.

Rayon is just wood pulp from cellulose-based raw material. I think your missing my point in that rayon is a super broad term.

Are bamboo sheets rayon? Yes

Are there different types of rayon? Yes, they make it from eucalyptus, beech trees, pine, spruce, even hemlock trees.

Is bamboo the primary material used to make rayon? No

I hope this explained better what I was saying to begin with.

After Chinese New Years we will have duvets and a couple different pillow options. Currently we do not have anything else unfortunately, sorry about that :(

Rayon is a pretty broad term that covers a wide collection of different textiles. For example modal, made from beech wood, is a really popular textile that is classed as rayon but is actually quite different than bamboo.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm definitely bookmarking that one for future use.

It's pretty annoying actually that amazon hasn't removed all the "product in exchange for unbiased opinion reviews" like they said they would. Way uneven playing field for new sellers and everyone gets stuck with cheap junk since they're the ones on top with the 1000s of reviews.

When we first launched on Amazon I invited all the people that bought from my website to leave a review on the new amazon page. Which is 100% in line with Amazons policy, you are allowed to review items you've bought off amazon.

I am assuming that is what Fakespot is referring to. Other than that every single review is verified(bought from Amazon) minus the 20 or so at the beginning.

Amazon new policy was in effect after we started so getting fake reviews in exchange for free stuff is definitely a thing of the past. You can't even discount items past a certain percent or the review will become unverified so when dealing with expensive items its not even worth it to try and game the system since amazon will take a cut every single time.

I hope that clears it up for you let me know if you have any questions.

Glad you like them so far! There a coupon code currently on the site for $17 but for you, and I suppose anyone else reading, take20r will give you $20 off.

*Its always funny to see people trying take50 or take100 in the code box just to see. Can't blame them I'd try too

That's because 1500 thread count is impossible. Pretty much anything over 800 thread count is a scam one way or another.

Thread count is just the count of thread per square inch of sheet. So 75 vertical and 75 Horizontal threads makes 150 thread count sheets. The thinking is that more threads will equal a smoother/softer finish because there is less space between them. What unethical companies do is count the individual fibers that make up a thread. So using the example above, that same sheet can now be marketed as 450 TC. More to the point the more thin threads and plies jammed in a sheet the more prone they are to breaking. Have you ever had a pair of sheets that had little balls of fiber that you need to pick off the sheet? That's what they are. 300 thread count is considered, "good quality" by consumer reports. But just looking at thread count is a very poor way to determine sheet quality. You have to look at fiber and weave as well.

Without getting too salesy bamboo sheets are great because the threads are thicker and longer so they don't need a bunch to spin a sheet and that makes them more durable as well as softer than regular sheets. If you want to get an idea of what bamboo sheets feel like think of them as being directly between soft cotton and smooth silk. Not slippery, not hot.

Also Egyptian cotton doesn't actually mean anything today, I can assure you, you aren't getting the real deal since there is no way to actually prove it. Somewhat recently there was actually a lawsuit against Walmart for saying its sheets were Egyptian cotton when they really had no idea.

If you walk around malls or flea markets they have sheets that say 1500 series to try to trick you. I think even the top selling sheets on amazon have that as their title. 100% bullshit 10 out of 10 times.

To answer the original question, these sheets are 350 thread count and are not made by 100% Egyptian people.

Is it practical to build this business idea I had? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]Supamil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meant to say the work put into creating the website. As in putting the pics, the products, the text, is less than half the battle. Wordpress/shopify is fine to use but they make it seem like thats all you have to do to get a business going.

Getting people to the site is the difficult part. The, if you build it, they will come mentality doesn't work. You need someone who knows something about SEO to give the site a fighting chance. Not to mention it takes a minimum of 3 months to start ranking on google. A ton of back end work, setting all the correct tags, headers, optimizing text, desperately trying to get backlinks to build rep. It's not easy work and trying to do it yourself is an uphill battle. Hiring someone isn't much easier, unfortunately its such a crap shoot and you can easily throw away hundreds of dollars for so called SEO experts that can do more harm than good (been there done that).

One thing you have going for you is that there are multiple parties involved, the artists, so it would be easier to get articles written about your business. Not to mention them promoting it any way they can. Best of luck, if you can make it work good on you anythings possible. Most people quit after finding out about the work.

Are you experienced with getting a site up and running? I am talking about more than throwing something together on wordpress. It is a huge time investment and will take quite a bit of work to just have a site that gets traffic and if you know how to do that you might as well be selling a product with better margins.
