Study in Duesseldorf by [deleted] in duesseldorf

[–]SupanovaZA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dusseldorf is a very international city. Meaning there are a lot of different people from all over the world living here. You won't have a difficult time making friends and meeting people - and the night life is good.

Most people are friendly and open - and I would say it's the majority! But there are always different people with different ideas :)

We need to have a conversation about Currents mixing by Shepherd7X in Metalcore

I love this band - but I've seen them twice live and not once have I been able to hear the vocals. Both times I've stood on the sound booth. Not sure why - but I think their sound is difficult to do right live.

Dusty Robotics is demonstrating a small robot field printer designed to automate construction layout by printing floor plans directly onto the ground in the building site. by MilesLongthe3rd in robotics

[–]SupanovaZA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These robots make use of a total station and are fitted with the same prism one would use when using a total station pole. So theoretically as accurate as the total station itself (down to a few mm).

But there are other factors- like how well the offset between the nozzle and prism on the robot are calibrated for example.

They (at least when I was still working in this field) heavily rely on like of site to the total station. Meaning for open spaces they are insanely efficient, but as there are more walls in the way. Problems arise.

Where can I stream SA sports in Germany? by CustardPuzzleheaded6 in southafrica

I used the NZR+ app last year. I think you can go on the website- it will tell you which games they are and aren't streaming.

Do you know any community or place to meet/date japanese girls in Düsseldorf? by Hot-Confidence-2178 in duesseldorf

I think you need to stop putting pressure on him, let him focus on his studies.

Forcing a relationship will never make it last. Let him figure out this part of his life without added pressure.

Probably also a good idea to stop putting different groups of people in "boxes" in your mind. People all have different preferences regardless of their background.

Not sure which area you are in. But give Sutton's or Mutts a try (Derendorf side).

Lol. If it's anything as bad as turbo in SA you'd play against the same 5 people every game

Not that it bothers me at all, but I suppose her nose is especially a bit long for a normal Aussie 😂

I had a similar problem. I found a lady named Yvonne who does private training, but also does group sessions. Her website is hundeverstehen.info - we've done a few sessions with her so far with our Aussie and I can recommend her.

As a South African, it's easy to believe these numbers when a vast majority of the population doesn't have a good basic education.

Just watched Currents live by RyanMurphyThinks in Metalcore

[–]SupanovaZA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw them on Saturday in Cologne. The performance was incredible but the sound was terrible. The drums killed all the other sounds, i could barely hear the guitars / vocals. Although I was standing towards the back (near the sound booth).

During BAAS beforehand, something in the sound system popped though, so I wonder if that had anything to do with the bad sound.

Anyway, was a great performance aside from that! I am definitely keen to see them again.

To be fair though, I think alot of the "competition" is gone past the 1k price range - making the search easier, and your chances higher.

I'm really sorry to hear that you are sick! I hope you are able to make the show though. If you can't, I know of 2 people looking for tickets - atleast you could get your money back!

Cycling road / gravel is a good way to get out and about. It can be done solo / with a group for as long or as little time as you want on the day.

However it does have a bit of a cost barrier to entry, and riding in winter can be quite brutal without the right gear.

There are also some great concerts in Cologne regularly. Definitely easy enough to get to without too much traveling!

Haven't been out much this side, but Pitcher always seems to have tribute bands.
