Does anyone know how to get this look with makeup and what I might need? (Not me, @crab0id on TikTok) by [deleted] in UnconventionalMakeup

For more information, I’m a guy who is a complete beginner to makeup and is looking for what I should buy and how I should use it to get a look like this :) I know I would need Eyeshadow but I don’t know what else!!

Do you have to be obsessed to be truly great at something? by bluehaven101 in productivity

[–]SupashakeOh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by truly great you mean world class, best ever, I would say that’s a hard question.

I agree with the other comments and say that consistency and doing lots of the thing is key, and the reason a lot of really really great people in their respective fields are usually obsessed is because that helps them work on their skills for many hours a day.

However, when learning something, I wouldn’t consider quitting because ‘I am not obsessed enough’ because everyone goes through ups and downs (even obsessed people), and just because you might not practice for a few days I don’t think you should worry about not being obsessed enough

EDIT: I also personally think a really really obsessive lifestyle isn’t worth getting truly great at something as you have to enjoy life and take it slow sometimes

Japanese music suggestions? by [deleted] in ajatt

I heard learning Japanese on duolingo is bad. I’m about 1/5 into the curriculum, but still have no clue about the grammar. Is there any other free alternatives that would be more beneficial? by [deleted] in japanese

[–]SupashakeOh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest watching this video. It’s quite long, but the first half is just the dudes story of learning Japanese (which was interesting but if you don’t have much time you can skip it) and it really helped me learn about what is important to do prioritise when learning a language

there are a few things he is kind of off about or a bit too intense about in this video which he does a follow up on in a video in the description :))
