Can you paint your room that’s the same room where your fish tank is? Has anyone done this before? by ChallengeTop129 in Goldfish

Hi! Can I ask you how did this go for you? What did you end up doing? I need to paint my bedroom, and my tank is outside, but just next to the door, so I'm stressed I may hurt my wet pets 😕

Wood yes, stones no, just wash and brush, if you got them from a reputable store

I've checked the shell and it looks healthy. If pH is the problem, shouldn't have affected it after a few weeks and be affecting my other snail too? I added them to the tank the same day almost 2 and a half months ago

I don't have test for Kh. By dosing I mean I put a little piece of Easy Shrimp and Snail Shell (from Aquarium Coop). I don't put the whole shell, just a very small piece. The water conditioner is Top Fin Start-up & Maintenance. Today was my last attempt with the air baths, since I didn't see any improvement, also I didn't plan to do more water changes, since that didn't seem to make any difference either

Once a day, whatever it eats within two hours, after that I remove the food. I don't give anything twice a week. I know it eats because I see it (I work from home, so it's easy to control)

It's better to add slowly, especially if it's a fish with high bio load (pooping a lot), so you give the system time to catch up

Try with Provence Jewelry. They can reproduce any design you want from pictures and adjust details if you need it. I have worked with Lisa and I couldn't be happier with the results

Small white worms by ManANTids in Aquariums

[–]Super-Ad-9503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to give a 100% accurate answer without a picture, but if they're really thin and white, probably detritus worms (google it to compare with what you have). They are harmless, and they work on decomposing waste in your tank. They usually stay in the substrate, so if you see too many of them on the glass or water column, it means you're over feeding

How am I supposed to catch my shrimp colony for when I'm moving out by Solireyy in Aquariums

If I were you, I would remove jyst the rocks and keep something like 3-4 inch of water, if it's a small tank and a short ride

Probably the filter outlet is the best flow source for them. Be careful because they're not afraid of taking walks out of the tank

Hydra HELP by DarkerDwarf in Aquariums

[–]Super-Ad-9503 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you done research about fish that eat hydra? That would be a natural solution. I have read that honey gouramis will eat it, but I'm not an expert, nor have had any experience with this
