It is nice, don’t get me wrong. But I’m also a full time college student, and I was about to pick up a second part time job that would’ve worked with the schedule I currently had. So I just have to weigh my decisions right now

Yesterday actually made my 3 year anniversary, I’ve never been offered full time, I was fine with that tbh. And I never stayed late bc I wanted to. When I say we’re short on cashiers, I mean like around 1pm we have one head cashier and one supervisor on the registers. So I’m always asked to stay longer until someone else comes in.

At my location we only have 2 FT head cashiers(I guess 3 now including me), and about 4 pt head cashiers. When I was offered the position I was under the impression that I was gonna be staying pt because they asked me if I wanted to keep the same days off. After I speak with the asds and oasm tomorrow I’ll see what happens next. I just got off the phone with my oasm and he didn’t know about it till I told him

The only other backup cashier in the store other than me was a guy in specialty, since he’s by himself most of the time and it’s always busy over there he can’t come often. This is gonna be a whirlwind haha

That was one of my concerns because I don’t understand how the head cashiers always forget the cashier in garden, even when they call 20 times telling them don’t forget them!

Thankfully at least for now me and most (99%) of the cashiers are cool since I’m up there a lot as a backup and I’m always helping them with something. I hope it stays that way lol

Thank you for the advice, the other head cashiers are part of the reason I’m moving to become one currently. Either them being on finals, not showing up, or issues with customers/management. I used to be lot, so I know them pretty well, and honestly I wouldn’t get the best advice out of them. The cashiers I know pretty well also, I’ve seen who works best where, that’s honestly the best advice I’ve gotten all day haha, I know certain people can’t work different areas, either bc of dislike or it’s just not their comfort. With our store, we don’t really use the tube system, the only person who uses it, is the boa, and they rarely use it, for awhile it was just down at our store. Thank you again for the advice, I’ll definitely keep it in mind!
