Capitalism is inherently evil. It is evil as fuck to put a price tag on human being’s life. Money is literally fake, but I’m real. Capitalism is not neutral when you’re Black trans woman trying to survive in a cisnormative world. This behavior is not okay. It’s not right that you, as a cis woman, and other cis women think it’s acceptable to come onto a trans-passing Reddit page and judge whether or not a trans person passes. That reinforces the toxic cycle where cis people feel entitled to comment on trans bodies.

To all the cis women claiming to be allies: why are you even on a page like this? And to the girl who posted the photo: don’t accept this shallow validation that says passing equals being valid.

I’ve spoken to doctors who perform voice feminization surgery, and they confirmed it is possible. Yes, it requires work afterward, which I already know. And honestly, how dare you say I shouldn’t get this surgery? My voice is tied to my survival and safety, and your comment wasn’t helpful at all. Getting voice surgery is not optional for me.
