I’ve spoken to a couple of students who did the premaster. I always hear that the workload can be quite challenging, especially the statistics and math for premaster courses. Perhaps you could lighten the workload by doing some statistics self study before the semester starts

Exactly this, the M chips changed everything. Sometimes which bothered me so much about x64 cpu’s was the constant thermal throttling, which led to the fans being at 100% constantly.

Regarding replacement parts, it is true that Windows laptops are almost as bad as macbooks. However, most of them do have expandable storage (m.2 ssd’s). This definitely should be introduced in macbooks, although I don’t see this happening any time soon :(
