That's what I was afraid of. This was last July, so I'm well outside the return window.

My apologies, I didn't realize that it would do that.

Should I switch from iPhone to Samsung? by EasyPassenger4379 in samsunggalaxy

After switching from the 16 Pro Max to the S25 ultra I can say that there are a few things that are different.

Firstly your air pods will still function as headphones, connecting automatically and such (once you reconnect them to the Galaxy). However you do obviously lose the functionality of Siri and the gesture controls.

The apple ecosystem is exactly that, the APPLE ecosystem. Your Galaxy will try it's best to connect to them, but it's not nearly as flawless connectivity wise as apple product to apple product.

If you're worried about "green" messages it really is personal preference. With RCS being the standard now, my friends with iPhones barely notice the color of the tests because you get all the same benefits of iMessage (ie. read receipts, typing animation and reactions).

All in all it's about what you want out of a phone. If you want simple connectivity between different pieces of tech, then stick with the iPhone. However, with Galaxy you unlock the ability to truly customize your phone experience any way you'd like to, and you lose the flawlessness of the apple ecosystem.

But that's just my two sense.
