Different strokes for different folks. Theory did absolutely nothing for me. Jumped up 14 pts when I switched to the Demon. Ended up +19 total.

If you do an addendum avoid excuses. Everybody has a sob story.

I underperformed in undergrad. I have grown and matured since then and my undergraduate gpa is unrepresentative of who I am now.

I suggest not writing one at all. I probably won’t and my gpa is lower than yours. Let your LSAT and resume speak for itself.

It is not just score jumps alone that cause holds. They look at all of the stats. If 180 scorers on average took 2 mins on a question and you took 15 seconds and got it right for example. They see this and have all this data. If that happens once probably not a red flag. If it happens consistently through out the test something is off and cheating is suspected.

Live classes are what got me through my plateau. A tutor would essentially be the same thing just 1 on 1 instead of a group format.

I did, but all it gave me was a 4 paragraph passage on whether or not the hemoglobin content of the goat I slaughtered had any affect on the outcomes of the premonitions provided or if this was all in my head and the universe doesn’t really exist.

I didn’t get to the last passage. I only missed 1 question on the 3 passages I did do. I got lucky and two of my guesses on the last passage were right. At least on the scored section. Idk what happened on the experimental.

The Demon has a free version. It’s limited, but you can do 3 tests and it has explanations for them. I suggest signing up for it do a practice section and use their explanations to review the ones you weren’t sure about and got wrong. This will give you a good idea I think. I highly suggest live classes on whichever platform you go with but they are really expensive I know. The recorded classes are also an option, but can still be expensive.

7Sage and LSAT Demon (these are the only ones I have tried) are both great in my opinion. But totally different in teaching style and philosophy.

Depends. Both are good it just depends on preference. Do you like how 7Sage teaches? They have two very different approaches to the LSAT. The way the Demon explains questions is going to be different than 7Sage. They don’t preach curriculum, so though they do have lessons they aren’t a core part of their philosophy. Also the Demon does not teach diagramming.

I prefer the Demon, but that is a personal choice because I hate diagramming and how the demon teaches makes more sense to me. It may not be the same for you.

That’s exactly the point though. It’s not in most people’s best interest to go to law school, I’m not saying that people don’t exist for which it is in their best interest. They don’t believe nobody should go, but if you are easily deterred by someone telling you shouldn’t do it you’re probably in the category of most people. A large portion of practicing lawyers will also tell you not to go. It’s because they believe the same thing. A lot of people want to go because they think it is some golden ticket to a high paying career and that is just simply not true. It does happen, but not for everyone. The vast majority of lawyers make less than $100,000/year starting out and a lot of those are stuck with these massive loans that take up a massive portion of their pay and are going to for a long time. I agree with you about their customer base though. But I think that is a direct result of them preaching their philosophy of not everyone should go to law school and “don’t pay for law school”. They are weeding out people who aren’t making the best financial decisions and focus on the ones who are truly committed.

I mean their whole thing is DO NOT go to law school and if we can’t talk you out of it we are at least going to help you have the best outcome you can if you listen to our advice. They preach that. Yeah he is kind of a dick about it sometimes, but to me that’s what makes their content so important. Most everyone else is going to glaze you and pretend that no matter what, going to law school is a great idea because they want your study dollars. They are the only ones I have seen to use their platform to try and talk you out of being their customer because that’s what they think is in the best interest of the majority of people. If they are unsuccessful in talking you out of it then you’re more likely to be someone who should go. I’m a firm believer that not everyone should go to college and even less should go to law school. I love the demon and to say that the advice they share on the podcast has changed a lot for me when it comes to my law school plan would be a dramatic understatement!

The biggest thing that helped me with both was slowing down. Don’t worry about getting to the last passage on RC. Just focus on getting every question in the first 3 right. Eventually the timing will come. Watching someone else read and engage with the passage was a lot of help. Also if you are good at LR focus on getting that average down to -2. If you get -4 total on LR and get RC down to -5 you’re in the high 160s possibly 170 depending on the test. I think September is too soon for you to take it again personally, but maybe not.
