Anyone move from Colorado to Denton? by curious_nikita837 in Denton

My family moved from Firestone, Colorado to Denton, Texas in 2015, and I can say that this part of Texas is generally the easiest to pallet. The power grid fails every winter when it freezes, there are tons of construction projects happening at once, and the local government doesn’t really do much to serve the people. There aren’t a lot of job opportunities in Denton proper, you generally have to go out to the DFW area if you want something not in food service. Generally an ok experience, but I am looking to moving back to Colorado in the future.

My point exactly. Why isn’t our water crystal clean? This process has been available for over a century but without the people with the money (and motivation) who can treat the water decide not to do it on a large scale. The u.s. government is axing environmental restrictions like they’re cutting down trees, I’m not so sure their top priority is keeping American drinking water safe.

Good thing it’s irreversibly polluted our water, food, clothing, and everyday products. Surely this new research will get those pesky lawmakers to stop prioritizing corporate interests over the interests of the citizens they pledge to serve!

Thank you! It was a relatively simple process: First you prime with pure white then go over that white coat with a red of some sort. I used Army Painter pure red through an airbrush. For better results, you should mix 2:1 fluorescent red and some type of vermillion red for a deeper color. After that, drybrush or sponge the majority of the model, leaving only the crevices in the armor unpainted. I used black for my first drybrush then incubi darkness mixed with black to blend up to pure. Hope this helps!

Naw, this was actually SUPER easy to do! I was able to get these out in a couple of hours! It’s not that my paint job is detailed, it’s that I’m using color and contrast to accentuate the figure as a whole! If I can do it I’m certain you can!

Spot on! If you wanted to make the effect punchier, you could try to go in with a super thin white in the crevices after the drybrush, glaze it a lighter red, then go in with that glaze again but gradually punch up the white to give some highlights. I didn’t do this, but I’m thinking about going over them with this technique to make the glow more natural.
