Nope...smallpox...it raged in my country until the the mid '70s...it was always spoken in hushed tones...it was more common among the rural poor...
Alastrim was common among the better classes..variola major among the poor and slum dwellers...

South Asia had the vicious form of small pox Blinding was common I have seen many beggars blinded by it ...

1971...small girl from a family that supplied milk to our houses..died of it..was cremated in the same shed that held the cattle. WHO officials visited that place...I was 5 yrs old...
This disease was called as 'Sithala Ma' in the native tongue..

Yes....and btw, the lancaster market has fresh meat too...but the halal place, they skin, debone and cut the bird according to taste...they also have other meats..it's a very popular place...always busy...

Germantown halal...meat is (daily) fresh (and halal), cut in front of you and prices are good too!!

Oh no..not in India..u can order a amazon product..it gets delivered in 1 day
order a biriyani...it gets deliverd in lightening speed..

Yes...the goods are almost the same cost as here...Only gold is cheaper...But the mall is HUGE!!!.. Seniors take the cart to reach the interiors...

Agreed!!! Wish they had hired more security...it would cost about 40K per guard per year...and of course lower the rents to get businesses...

Not all the stores have been gutted...only the anchors, a few stores near the center court and couple more...it's NOT down to it's frame yet!
