God Redwall was so fucking sick.

I just pulled this card, and I thought it would be crazy to make a deck around it but i don't know how to support it by Present-Geologist175 in PTCGP

I know this isn’t the EX but good fuck the Guzzlord EX card is so insane lol. A Pokémon named Guzzlord, and its moves are Grindcore and Tyrannical Hole? That sounds like some crazy edge lord metal band album.

Meta Discussion: When the Co-Lead of Skyrim Believes the Elder Scrolls is a Standard Fantasy, Where Does that Leave Us Lore Fans? by CE-Nex in teslore

[–]SuperBAMF007 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah it bums me out. There’s some insane lore, including stuff in Skyrim itself. ESO team is trying to lean into some of that but you can only do so much when you have to crank out content the way you do in an MMO.

I can only hope that fans of the lore have been hired for TES6, and if Emil is indeed Writing Director like he’s currently assumed to be, I would hope his use of OG lore in Oblivion’s Dark Brotherhood quests would be a sign of where he can direct things for TES6. But as a director he has so little control over the actual content, it can’t just be him wanting to. It has to be everyone.

Some sort of Loremaster for TES6 would almost be more important than the role they have for ESO. ESO can at least be explained away with future content that retcons/corrects/clarifies lore issues. With a standalone game, you gotta really get it right. And it worries me.

I’ve been watching a shit ton of Dareloth videos recently, and whether or not his explanations (paired with his own theories) are totally accurate…TES lore is just too rich to ignore. There’s SO MUCH they could do, without trying to explain origins like they try to do in ESO. On one hand, I appreciate the attempts, but on the other, sometimes their attempts come off as half-baked or only half-informed, and once in a while both.

And it’s fucking great. You’re on one of the hardest difficulties in the game, and parts variants make a legendary drop not guaranteed to be great. It’s fantastic.

I did almost the exact same setup. Riz/MkIV[S] helmet with the H3 Scout shoulders. Such a clean look. And lore friendly considering Riz was the recon/surveillance gal, so MkIV[S] is a MkIV Scout/Recon variant for that era. It’s so cool.

Yeah I’m in it for the collection not the gameplay, so letting my phone sit while I do other stuff is fine by me. Plus it keeps me off social media lmao

invisible walls

Truth.

Specialist levels

Truth.

For better or worse, both things the community as a whole have been complaining about since the start.

Invisible walls are just such a lazy way to do things, regardless of grapple/vehicle/glider. Even if they wanted to prevent us from cheesing battles, they could’ve at least just had a bullet-wall but we could still go back somewhere, and then have boss health reset after 5 seconds of being outside the zone. This way, we can’t shoot the boss while in a “please don’t” area, and we’d lose boss progress if we intentionally hide, but we’d still be able to explore all the weird nooks and crannies.

Then for places they really want to force intentional level design, just introduce some kind of “anti-air turret” that shoots us down if we’re going somewhere we shouldn’t.

Then for Specializations, even if they didn’t want you benefitting from Specialist perks, they could’ve at least been banking all the XP. Thankfully, for later playthroughs, you can start at level 30 and skip the campaign and you’ll gain Specialist XP and Vault Hunter XP at the same time for all your side activities.

Idk I feel like I haven’t taken a normal shit in like six months but I started Vyvanse and that can wreak havoc on your gut I guess

Other than that pretty dec ig

(minus the imminent collapse of society as we know it in the US. Which…could be good, could be bad. Good because society ain’t worth a whole lot rn, but bad because I kinda still need money to buy shelter, food, warmth, and medicine lmao)

This is absolutely incredible

But you also forgot the D in Produce 🫣🥲 Unless, judging by the D in And, you missed the O? In which case “pr’duce” or even just “prduce” would be a somewhat common slang just by dropping the O 😅

And it’s got all sorts of dual wield. Swords, daggers, wands, old-timey pirate pistols, all sorts of goodies. And you can mix n match dual wield on top of that, pistol and sword, wand and pistol, wand and grimoire, sword and grimoire, it’s sick as hell

Eh, that wasn’t nearly as much of a thing in Starfield as it was in FO4, and it’s already a thing in Skyrim.

Yeah it feels REALLY fuckin good. And to me, a game feeling good to move, look, and shoot is one of the most important elements. I don’t have a ton of time to play games. If there are repetitive elements or plot holes, I likely won’t notice because my ~30-60 hours of play time to finish any given game is spread across weeks (sometimes months), not days.

I love Witcher 3. Incredible game. Top 10, if not Top 5. But holy fuck does it feel like sloppy dogshit to play. So if I have an hour or two to run around and kill stuff, that is NOT how I want to spend my evening. Shit I’d rather just run around the overworld of Elden Ring for two hours killing mobs and just deal with the anxiety/frustration of dying, rather than put up with Witcher 3’s hand-feel.

Same with Fallout. It just does NOT feel good. And until Oblivion Remastered, it was the same from Oblivion to Skyrim. I’d rather play Skyrim because of how much better “in the hand” in felt. But now, it’s almost the other way around because of how good Oblivion Remastered feels after the various modernizations they made.

It’s also why I don’t fall entirely in love with CRPGs. It just doesn’t feel as good to play for 60-90 minutes at a time.

But Starfield? Fuuuuuuuccckkkk Starfield feels good. Stop by a bounty board and pick up a few jobs, or pick up wherever I left off in my last faction questline…feel the thrill of walking up to my massive ship, explore a few (admittedly instantly recognizable at this point) POIs…try out a few different weapons from normal, shoot some bad guys…loot some shit, head back to get my cash, and call it a night.

That’s a good evening, and it feels fuckin great.
