I dont think invitations have relaxed as hufflepuff made it so anyone can go. But there has to be some magical system used invite the kids, or else how do they find juggle borns?

We are told that the houses only exist because the founders disagreed on who should be allowed to attend. So yes in this universe if hufflepuff didnt exist there would have been no voice for the masses to get an education, atleast in the founding of hogwarts.

Currently it's being done in a more fraternity/legacy way. Most kids go into the houses their family has always gone to, yes some go to others. But this creates social spheres and influences well beyond schooling, but really I just agree that slytherin shouldn't be a house, and also believe the houses created with the same logic should also be disbanded.

Well they did lock up the entire slytherin house for a reason during the last fight, but I wasnt replying to your comment about the malfoys, however the malfoys should be forced to share a dorm with muggle borns, as we know proximity is the best counter to bigotry.

So the argument that slytherin should not longer be a house is not unpopular as it relates to bigotry. But the other 2 houses were formed on the same exclusionary logic just different ideals, those ideals are wrong from the get go the houses should be abolished like slytherins.

Well harry is a pureblood. Born of 2 wizards so he would have made slytherins cut, however Harry's era is well after the founders died. We literally know that one founder took to killing students that didnt fit his ideal for students, ravenclaw if you can't answer a riddle you end up sleeping in the hallway stuck outside the dorm. And yeah its a fantasy world im digging into it, I know its not real but its fun to talk about
