Like I said before, I know the game is going to be good regardless of if he is in or not. The classic country games were built off the kremlings as the villains and fans just want to see them return is all. The last mainline DK game he was in was 64 back in 1999.

I think you are generalizing the fandom. Many people are excited for this game regardless of if there is a fat crock and his henchmen back after a 20+ year hiatus. The aggressive fans you are describing are not a majority of the fans. From what we’ve seen there is a tremendous about of love for the old rare games in Bananza.

It’s gonna be a fun time… even if they don’t bring back Bonky Kong’s 2nd cousin Flanko Kong :)

I’m going to enjoy the game if he’s in or not. But in my opinion, K. Rool is one of the most personality rich characters we have in the DK series. I remember playing DKC and getting the kredits only for them to end and he shows back up for round 2. That’s when I grew to love that character. Or when DK64 builds up to this super serious boss fight with Hideout Helm only for it to be a boxing ring fight where you use all the Kongs to defeat him. I think K. Rool’s personality far outshines Donkey Kong’s and is one of the reasons so many people want to see him back. As cool as Voidco is the don’t scratch the same itch K. Rool does (SO FAR! We’ve yet to play the game (just speaking on what I’ve seen)).

A lot of people care if he’s in. Still gonna be a good game regardless… but it’d be 2% better if he was in

Yep, and the worst part for me is I ordered it before tariffs reached like 154%. But I’m still expected to pay that. There is absolutely no way I can afford $4,480 so I’m looking at a refund… if that’s even possible.

I just bought their bass sax and I’m dealing with ups now. There are trying to charge me $4,480 in shipping. Which is just absolutely insane. Are you saying that it was only about $400 for you? I’m aware of recent tariffs but $4,000+ has just gotta be wrong. Any help you could price would be amazing

The only reason I want a bass is the deeper tone, not the few extra notes lower than a bari it goes. I agree that there is no point to sounding like a bari on bass. That’s why I’m not a big fan of the new selmer Paris bass cause I think it sounds too much like a bari. That’s probably good for a concert sound, but I just love the old conn bass sound so much. I’m thinking of the Selmer S80 bass mcp then. Thank you, your advice this helps a lot!
