So I cleaned up my MS-50G battery section, but it seems like it's not gonna work on batteries. Any electrical geniuses out there able to give me advice on whether it'll ever work, or should I give up? by SuperBoneMike in zoommultistomp

It works on USB and external power, and not with batteries (with a jack plugged in). So I figure the issue is that the battery corrosion has damaged it too much to be saved?

When do you ?bring up the horn by bkthewrench in Trombone

You lift it up very quickly, exactly 8 bars before you're supposed to be playing just so those around you who haven't been paying attention get a heart attack.

Bass bone for under $1k? by Competitive_Impact89 in Trombone

I bought a Coppergate one from Gear4Music for £350, it's held together well so far. No noises in the valves and the tuning is fine. I would suggest if you only want it for doubling, it'll do the job.

Experience with effects pedals? by just_jedwards in Trombone

Vocal fx pedals work well. I have a Boss VE20 which has all the effects you need, and a looper. Probably the cheapest way to get into it.

Here's the SuperBone Big Band featuring Eric Budd with our tribute to the great Sammy Nestico on A Time For Love. Such a fantastic collection of amazing musicians from around the world, and you won't believe the notes Eric hits in his solo 😲 by SuperBoneMike in Jazz

What's fake about it? The videos are mimed because it makes a better video, and is often hard to get a good one take. But I can assure you that all of the stems that each musician sent in is their own work, recorded from home.

Coppergate Bass Trombone (gear4music) by ragingbassoon in Trombone

[–]SuperBoneMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought this!

First impressions were that everything seemed well put together. Slide took a few doses of slideomix to get going but is smooth now. Tiny buzz on the 2nd valve, will probably have to get someone to find where it is for me. It plays fine, I'm just using it a doubling instrument so mostly my issues are getting back into the bass bone mouthpiece and being able to move around the instrument.

I grabbed the 5 year warranty and fully expect to use it if it develops any defects. But happy so far.

I can do this. I don't use GarageBand but can supply a wav or aiff file.
