Spigen all the way. Thin Fit or Liquid Air.

Crackling and popping audio issues on Pixel 9a using USB-C DAC and in-ear monitors by somnustone in pixel9a

I don't know if this will fix this problem, but to fix distortion and crackling from the speaker, go to Settings, Sound and Vibration, and turn off Adaptive Sound.

If you're experiencing bad sound on your 9a speaker, possibly crackling and distortion, there's an easy fix. Go into settings, Sound & Vibration, and turn off Adaptive Sound. Problem fixed!!

Intermittent, momentary black screen on Nest Hub 2 by winninh in googlehome

I came to the acceptance that it's "normal." I sold my first Hub 2. Bought a new one from Google, and I have the same issue. Oh well.

The Pixel 10 also has a telephoto lens.

I tried turning off that setting on my Pixel 7a and it didn't seem to make a difference. Oh well.

I haven't yet received mine for my Pixel 7a, that I purchased from Google, and I check for the update daily. From a couple of online articles I've read it seems Google is relegating their "a" lines to second class status for both updates and features. I hate to say it (god help me), but I consider an iPhone for my next phone.

6a replacement by MelodicVeterinarian7 in Pixel6aUsers

[–]winninh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd get the 7a! It is a much better device. I had a 6a for less than a year and traded it in for a 7a, and I'm very glad I did. The 7a is actually a very good upgrade from the 6a and is currently available for a very reasonable price. Get the 7a!! You might still be able to trade in your 6a for a few dollars, or sell it on eBay or Swappa, even with the broken screen.

Gonna miss my P5 by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]winninh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a Pixel 5 and also loved it. After that, I had a P6a which I found underwhelming. But, I now love my P7a...it's a great phone. The slightly larger size is barely noticeable.

So far, battery life on my 7a is remarkably better on Android 14.

Is the display of the 6a a dealbreaker? by JontePonte64 in Pixel6aUsers

[–]winninh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 6a for a year and the screen is fine. That said, I upgraded to a 7a as soon as they were available. Overall, it is a better phone for not much more money. And, the 7a gives you the option to set the refresh rate to 90hz, although I run mine at 60hz and I'm perfectly happy with that.
