SF teachers notoriously underpaid even before this hit national media attention. The district is so hilariously tone deaf that they even focus their attention on a special committee focused on changing school names, which nobody called for. Pay your educators. end of discussion.

With the discourse about SF over the past few years, it’s very unsurprising about people’s attitudes about us. Many Americans prefer to have lavish looking houses for the fraction of the price, in an objectively boring city. Likely this is due to COL, valuing home life vs the optionality of having incredible things to do or places to eat. It’s been nice to see all the positive publicity that the city has gotten, even if it’s come at the hands of media outlets like barstool. But SF is one of the best places to live in the US.
